We've eaten here before and enjoyed it but I didn't review. This week we are down with the flu, and we all wanted Chinese food.... Y'all... it arrived HOT and FRESH! It was incredibly delicious! We ordered combination fried rice 5/5 Chicken chow mein 5/5 if I could I'd give this dish 10 stars! Fresh, tasty, not greasy or chewy, so good! Sesame chicken - also amazing dish! Hot and juicy! I normally shy away from fried chicken but this was very good! Props to the delivery person for getting it here so fresh and not cold!

YUM!!! I have been wanting to try this place since they re-opened, but haven't had the chance. I learned that they are now on doordash so was super excited! We ordered the Chicken Chow Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp and Egg Rolls. Everything was sooooo good! My favorite was the walnut shrimp. It was crispy and so delicious!! We will definitely order from them again!

I have been a customer since they first opened at their original location. I gave them a shot when they first reopened on San Benito Street, and I was disappointed, so I continued my treks to Salinas to get my Chinese food fix. I gave them another shot a few weeks ago and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. I ordered again this evening and they nailed it again. The food was tasty and fresh, the portions were large and the staff was very friendly. They have earned being my go to Chinese food spot!. This is no small feat as I consider myself a Chinese Food Super Fan. I love it, I cook it and would likely pass up a steak to eat it! Well done.

We called and ordered food to go and was told 20-25 minutes. When I arrived the place was busy. There are a few table, but it is set up more for take out. My food was ready quickly and I brought it home. We ordered Hunan beef and honey walnut prawns.

Cheung Sheng Chinese is a great little restaurant in the heart of old downtown Hollister. The restaurant and seating area are fairly small but the taste of the food is big!I phoned in a large order for pickup for the family. First, the call was extremely fast. The person who took my order was pleasant and took down my order perfectly. He stated the food would be ready in about 20 minutes. I arrived a few minutes early and only waited 5 minutes while my order was finalized. My order was bagged and the server added about 10 fortune cookies, a few small containers of sweet & sour sauce, a few small containers of spicy chili sauce, and a few packets of soy sauce.Once home, our food was prepped and everything I ordered was included and still hot.Our favorite dishes from Cheung Sheng include Prawns with Honeyed Walnuts, Special Orange Chicken and their Chow Mein. Everything we ordered was so good including the appetizers.A quick note: the menu and prices on Facebook (Cheung Sheng doesn't have a website) are out of date. I've included some pics of their current menu and pricing.The items listed on the menu under Chef's Special recommendations are very good.Really good food and great service. Recommended!

This place gained a lifelong customer. Thekr food is really good. I got chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, egg rolls and crab rangoon, all really good and filling. It was enough to feed my family of 5. Good

We stopped by on Christmas Eve, so there was no dining. It was so crowded and we waited only around 15 minutes for 2 dishes. The food we got was really good! I like the pork dish a lot (Hunan pork). The portion is also giantic.I would definitely stop by this place when we go to Hollister next time.
