I moved to Hollister 5 years ago and unfortunately this is the only bakery in town. I have tried going several times with the same outcome. I was expecting that since people here in Hollister are so nice I would have a wonderful experience (small town vibes), but fell very short of that. I went in and it was busy. I had to wait since they where all busy so I waited and waited as they where all done helping other people the walk passed me and did not even acknowledge me or even to turn to to me and say hey someone will be right with you. Finally the last girl helping someone came to me and I was hoping for an apology like I am so sorry for that long wait how can I help you. Totally cold and not even helpful at all not warm whats so ever. I don’t know if they are overworked or they are just not taught customers service but they have none. This is not a one time I have gone several times and it’s always the same. Food isn’t bad but not worth it when you have horrible customer service. I am sorry but I would rather leave town for a cake than come here again!

My husband and I went for breakfast, and while the pancakes, fruit, and orange juice weren't great, I wanted to leave a review to recognize Sara's exceptional service. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Thank you, Sara, for your kindness and customer service.

As good an apple turnover as I have ever had, and I been to Germany many times.

Great find for lunch after hiking in Pinnacles National Park. Delicious sandwiches and desserts and very good service.

They always clean and we'll staffed. The food (especially the chili verde breakfast) is soooo good. All the bakery items are fabulous!

I ordered a full cake for my Birthday from here and I ended up throwing it out after 1 bite. I asked for a lemon custard with lemon iceing and what I got back was a plain cake with lemon gel center and plain ice ing. I was so disappointed because the girl who took the order was very nice and said that yes they can make it the way I wanted. If they read this review I placed the order to be picked up on June 1st the day before my birthday. If I'd known that they couldn't or wouldn't make it the way I wanted I would have gone somewhere else that could.

Don't order chilaquiles if you're expecting them to be like traditional Mexican chilaquiles. The ones I ordered were $16. They looked like they were warmed-up tortillas with canned enchilada sauce poured over them. They were dry and flavorless.

I was overcharged for my meal. Extra charge for everything. They don’t charge people menu prices. Food was not great. Staff takes too long to help customers. They tend to forget about people.

I had the lemon cake at a birthday a few day’s ago and it was amazing. It was so fluffy and delicious. My favorite it the icing that was whipped and that is the best icing there is. And now after the farmers market I’m sitting here eating a red velvet cupcake and wishing I got 2! It’s so good. The cupcake isn’t dry, the icing is fluffy and the chocolate on top is so good.
Will definitely go back for more next time!

Worst cannoli ever. Cookies not tasty. Everything tasted like a chemical cleaner of some sort. No bueno.

Staff was really friendly, food was really tasty. Good portions fair prices. They are open later then most breakfast places in town. I got an iced mocha, tuna melt and clam chowder, although I prefer a thicker clam chowder it was still really good. I love coming here they also have pretty quick service.

I really wanted to like this place. I went in for breakfast with my sister and the customer service was by far inexcusable. One woman with colored eyes was glaring at another employee as I mentioned they had accidentally gotten my order incorrect. I honestly didn’t mind as it could have been a quick fix. Instead of fixing my order the woman with colored eyes proceeded to lecture my server who was visibly uncomfortable. Needless to say my order was never changed and now I understand why there’s always a hiring sign. Such an uncomfortable and unprofessional experience.
