Hokulia Shave Ice - Hollister

Wide selection of flavors. We had the shaved ice and it was good. The small option is huge though! I'm sure my husband and I could have shared one lol. The staff was super friendly as well. Nice light, sweet dessert. If you aren't in the mood for shaved ice, they have icecream and flavored popcorn - so lots of options!

Inconsistency.. went back, and the worker packed my ice so tight it was just a snow ball, not soft and enjoyable, like before. Also, the center and bottom of the ice were still plain white.Very soft shaved ice. Loved the environment great music. Will definitely come back on a hot day.Need a mangonada flavor.. this town has a Hispanic presence. I think it would sell a lot. In my town it does. Also, the horchata one needs a revamp. Add a tiny bit of nestle la lechera sweetened condensed cream on top of it like an ice cream. Also, put a light dash of cinnamon powder on it.

I don’t know what is the in the fire dancer smoothie but it was amazing. It was delivered super fast & was amazing.

We were excited to try this place because it’s highly rated. Unfortunately, we were disappointed on the flavors and the ice texture, it tastes just like eating a snow cone from any store, and the flavors were only on top so the bottom was just ice, and I was charged extra $4 plus for 3 plastic caps they added when I asked for condensed milk. If you really want to have a good shaved ice try the one in San Jose Japan town.

I mean, you just can’t get any better than this place! It’s nearly 100 degrees outside, yet inside Hokulia, you get friendly greetings, great service, and taste that is second to NONE! Woohoo! Love this place!

Ordered icecream scoops, paid was told to wait outside and it will be brought out to us, 20 mins goes by and we end up walking back inside to see that the staff are only making the shave ice, customers that had ordered anything other than shave ice did not get their order. The staff was taking orders then scrambling to fill them. They need to be trained it's ok to have a line, Don't Rush Do It Right The first Time!Not the best Experience!!!I dont think we will be doing business here.Just opened and already bad service.

Their smoothies are so delicious ? I 100% recommend. Little pricy tho

This place has a tasty menu but some of the staff members REFUSE TO WEAR MASKS. Definitely not covid safe. Disappointing.

We had an engagement party catered by Hokulia Shave Ice. They did an amazing job and everyone loved it.They were super easy to work with booking and schedule the event. They showed up early, provided great portions and service, and made the event spectacular on a hot July day in Gilroy. I highly recommend them.
