La Catrina Mexican Grill

I went here for my dad's birthday brunch, I got the tres leches pancakes and the cafe de olla, it was very delicious and I could taste the quality. The atmosphere was lovely and the workers weren't amazing but still very kind overall would come back! ????
Also, they brought out a slice of cheesecake for my dad's birthday

We got 3 items and shared between 3 people without a big appetite and it was super tasty! We got the flautas, the quesabiria and the carne asada plate. Everything worked well together and was seasoned nicely. Good service and the outdoor seating was nice. I recommend checking this out if you're in town :)

What an amazing experience at La Catrina! It's not often you can boast great food and service. They have extended the patio into the street like most restaurants in the beautification of Hollister. The food here was outstanding and the waitress was attentive but not obtrusive, Highly recommended!

I had this place saved before we came to town and then the front desk at our hotel recommended it. Food was outstanding, everything was so good. Service was pleasant.

Margaritas were excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband ordered chicken mole and I ordered Baja tacos. His food was COLD. Waitress took order back . I finished my meal so it wouldn't get cold. Waitress came back and said there are orders before us and it would be a bit. So I ate my dinner myself while my husband waited for his. Finally brought his meal after I was all done and never offered him warm tortillas after all that time. They were cold. Terrible meal, terrible experience and we will never go back.

Food was not it today. I don't know if this is what it's just like or if they had an off day. Our 1st time here and the battered shrimp tacos were not worth it in my opinion. The mayo they use is too overpowering flavor wise. Did not enjoy the corn on the cob I ordered as well, a generous amount of mayo. My husband got the shrimp Fajitas and they did not look appetizing at all. They looked bland and not something worth the $25 price tag, flavor was not there as well. Now we know. Service was also lacking a bit, they were not busy when we got there but everything took way longer than normal in any other sit down restaurants.

My friends that live in Hollister said this food was great. But we were very disappointed. We were seated quickly and then they just forgot about us. We left 20 minutes later after being ignored. I can’t rate the food since we never got served. So much for trying and supporting local business. Thanks for nothing.

I'm going with a solid 4 star review. Carne asada was fantastic. Beans and rice could have been a little warmer. But I'm not going to take points off for that. Chips and salsa also very tasty. Flan was a tiny portion, but tasted great. Servicemet expectations.
