Went in yesterday and had fish tacos and they were so tasty! Met the new owners and they are were so kind and welcoming to their establishment. I’m looking forward to returning!

We had an amazing time dining here! Servers were absolutely fantastic and super kind and helpful. One item of my order was messed up and the server brought me a big complimentary drink that was so delicious! I got the chile verde with rice and beans. Rice was AMAZING! Whole meal was awesome and we will definitely be coming back. Also servers kept our trash off our table and dirty dishes out of the way. Super diligent! Thanks guys!

Excellent food! Lovely people! My husband thought he didn't like Mole, they changed his mind! The sangria was off the hook!

My husband and I just moved to Hollister from San Jose & decided we needed a good night out for dinner & drinks ! We came to La Sabrosa during a big cruise night downtown and let me just say - Absolamente Asombrosa- the food, music, service and just vibe of the place was exactly what we love. It was sooo good, we're back for breakfast! Thank you for the warm welcome into the Hollister nightlife! It was fantastic & as you already know, we will be back!

The waitress was sneaky...asked us if we wanted some chips, salsa and guacamole as she gave us menus. Without asking, we thought the guacamole was complimentary , so we said "sure". Dinner was good even if a bit pricey ($17) for a Tres Tacos Combo plate. When the bill came, the guacamole appetizer was $12!. We had left some, but since we had to pay for a small bowl the same size as the salsa, we ate the rest.

Just finished having lunch here and what a real surprise! Started off with the usual starter nachos. The salsa sauce hit the spot. A special recipe for sure, with just the right kick. The margarita was just the right blend and not too sweet. I had the three taco/Questacos dish off the Specialities menu and I didn't regret ordering it one bit. It was amazingly tasty and highly recommended. The rice and beans were just the right-sized portions, not overwhelming. Finished off the meal with the Flan. Another good choice, freshly made and just the right level of sweetness. All in all, as tasty and authentic as one can get of Mexican food in a nice al fresco setting in the middle of the restaurant district in Hollister. Hats off to the owner/chef whose friendly and welcome attitude added to the overall experience. A must try for sure if you're visiting Hollister.

Stopped by for an early lunch; the whole menu was available (lunch and dinners). We ate outside in the COVID-necessary outdoor seating areas that have been erected in the street. We had flautas, birria tacos, and chilaquiles, which were all top-notch. Service was friendly and quick.

We came here for a late lunch and were thrilled with the food and the service. Maria is friendly and personable, and clearly as enthusiastic about the food as we soon became. Guacamole and salsa were fresh and tasty; the house-made tortillas were wonderful, and the flautas were a great appetizer. Aguas frescas were made fresh--don't miss the horchata and tamarindo. Actually, it's clear that they are proud of making everything fresh and from scratch. The birria is excellent, and not to be missed. And if there's any flan, get it. I don't care how full you think you are, it's amazingly creamy and a well-balanced finish to the meal.

They were very busy a Saturday morning I went. I was happy to hear they serve white menudo! Where I come from we only have it white without halmony and when I heard someone order it I had to have some too:) it was delicious. It's always good to know where they make the food you grew up with.

Their service was very bad we ordered our drinks it took them about 25 minutes to get them. We ordered horchata and we never got it and we never got napkins either.

Maria is a gem. She pours her heart and soul into this place. The new outdoor seating is beautiful and right in the middle of the coolest little downtown you can ask for. Guacamole and salsa were both perfectly balanced. My Paloma was refreshing and delicious. Do yourself a favor and get the Tacos Birria. Oh. My. Goodness.

Food is good, wait staff is NOT so good!! I love getting their quesatacos combo, I hadn't sat down at this place until recently and I was unhappy with the wait service, never was greeted, and they weren't very friendly. Waited inside and they seen me without ever saying anything, not sure if it was busy or it was an off day. The food is good, the service is not very friendly. Owner doesn't seem to be real friendly either, which is a shame and really deters me from wanting to eat here again because of the service.

Three strikes. You're out! Food is good, pricey, but not worth the rude owner (?). There are other places to eat in town, just as good if not better...
