I would avoid coming here at night or on weekends. I caught the cook/line cook go to the bathroom(while I was going) and not wash his hands after using it furthermore not putting on gloves after going back to cooking. Ive seen the butchers not wear gloves cut customers carnitas, eat some from the heating rack and touch their face or phone while customers are present.(in this is in the daytime. I now only go for aguas hoping I wont get sick from the workers negligence of handling food safely. The green salsa is fire but refuse to eat the food since I have gotten sick multiple times from eating at night time.

This place has gone down hill in the last month. We’ve eaten here for almost 15 years, the first visit in 2007 and have always loved it. We have raved about the food and taken family and friends to eat there because we knew they would love it as well. The meat was always great quality with literally no gristle or fat. They’ve changed the asada, no longer is it chopped up with a lot of flavor, it’s bland strips of gristle and zero flavor. Such a shame our last two visits were so disappointing, we won’t be returning since they’ve decided to serve bland low quality meat and the prices are too high. We had a $100 tab last night, and regretted spending a dime, but it’ll be the last they see from us.

The molcajete looks like Purina dog chow, nasty. The carne asada is stringy, tough and chewy. The menudo is OK but it’s oily. The rice and refried beans were the only things very good in taste.

Really bummed to have to give Los Cuates a one star review but this is unacceptable. Ordered a Chicharrón super burrito and the pile of fat/grizzle in the photo was the only "meat" in the entire burrito. The part that looks like a chunk of a gut was found in the carnitas tacos. All of it was chewy like gum and inedible and not to mention not what was ordered! This place used to be consistent and great but ever since the new ownership its a gamble every time. We’ve given them multiple tries since, but unfortunately this was the last straw. If you're out of meat, then just cancel the order, don't just replace it with fat and grizzle. Absolutely disgusting and disingenuous to their customers with this level of service. I’d love to say that we’d give them another shot, but this has happened too many times as of late. Really bummed to see what was a staple of a restaurant in this town go downhill so fast. Not to mention, the restaurant smelled like urine when I went inside to pick-up the order. Explain that…

Ordered two reg burritos (tripa and grilled chicken). The tripa burrito was super good. It wasn't salty and it was crispy. I definitely recommend it. If you're gonna order tripa, ask them to make it extra crispy. I like how their sauces are self served, orange spicy sauce omg sooo good. In my opinion this place is authentic Mexican food. I was gonna take a pic of my tripa burrito but I was too hungry. It was that good!!! Must try place for me and will come back again :)

I have eaten there on several occasions but honestly the tacos are horrible, very salty and the tortilla seemed toasted, I ordered 3 tacos and I only ate one and that made me and my wife sick to the stomach.
