Way overpriced- recommend you go elsewhere. $100 for two entrees and two glasses of wine in a strip mall. Trust me…..you can find a better place.

I had heard great things about Mangia! Got my husband, brother in law, his girlfriend and another friend to try it Saturday night. The food was wonderful. We started with the fried Artichokes, Yum! I had the Carbonara which was loaded with pancetta. The raviolis were great. The Castroville was excellent. The deserts are to die for. I had the cheesecake which is a huge slice drizzled in Chocolate. My brother in law and girlfriend had the Cannoli and really enjoyed it. We will be back since there are things on the menu that I want to try. Thanks for making our night a fun get together.

I love that you make everything so fast and so yummy. PS the meatballs are so delicious.

Terribly over/under cooked food with a high price!! This is the kind of restaurant you give a gift card to the family members you don't like for the holidays or your grandparents in their 90s with no taste buds left. owner could careless about customers and the service here and it shows

A cute little restaurant and the food was flavorful. A few pieces of my chicken were cold when I bit into them and they could have been more generous with the toppings (tomato, spinach, broccoli cut into bite sized pieces instead of just 3 big raw chunks) but it was generous on the sauce which I appreciated.I noticed that the dishes we ordered were definitely different dishes, meaning that if it was supposed to be an alfredo or a gorgonzola sauce, they were noticeably distinct which was great. Some restaurants just use the same sauce for most things and that shows, so kudos to them for that. The portions were perfect and our server was kind and attentive at the appropriate times. We were not served warm bread and butter nor were we offered any which was unusual for an Italian place but maybe they forgot, it happens. The wine isn't fantastic so don't expect much on that front and they were out of the two that we first chose. So, if on a budget, save the extra expense and skip the wine or share one glass that you may not mind leaving behind if it isn't good. They could easily jump up their game by getting decent wine glasses. I am not talking crystal or anything fancy, just some basic Reidel instead of the thick short ones we can pick up at IKEA. Note that their pours appear to be 4oz so don't expect a minimum of 6oz or a more generous pour either. Even with a smaller pour, the decent wine glasses would have made that part sting a little less.Overall, for a first time visit, the food has good potential, server was good, the wine experience wasn't great and was best skipped for the added expense, don't be upset if you don't get offered warm bread and butter. Honestly, I will give this place another try and see if it was just an off day for them on some fronts.Tips for the resturant:Set the temp to be just a little warmer inside during cold days. Italian restaurants should feel like going home to mama when you walk in.Throw a few more dollars at getting decent wine glasses (yes, it really does make a difference for your customers) and a few higher quality wines you can keep in stock.Quickly offering warm, crusty bread and butter sets up a good experience from the start.Of course, it's always easier to critique someone else's hard work, so I will say thank you for opening your restaurant and sharing it with us here in Hollister! I will visit again. After my second visit, I'll update this post and star review!

So happy to find such a classy small Italian restaurant. Five stars on my pasta. It was the best I've every had. There was 4 in my party and everyone's food was amazing. The atmosphere was exactly what you would want with a plate of pasta. The server was warm, friendly and very attentive.

This place is amazing! We were in Hollister for a race and wanted to carb load. This popped up with great reviews. The service and food was amazing. They sauces were delicious. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our food came to us in under 10mins. If I am ever back in Hollister I am for sure coming back!

We ordered take out of the Chicken Parmesan and "Mama's" which is my normal italian favorite of sausage, onions, bell peppers, and sauce over penne pasta. My wife loved the Chicken. The Mama's sauce was very tasty, and the pasta was good, but a touch overcooked. The reason for 4 stars, instead of 5 was the sausage pieces were like they were cut off a Johnson breakfast sausage...small. And there was only the equivalent of 1 sausage, when most restaurants serve two whole sausages. We will go back and try again. Maybe next time will be 5 star.

Dog friendly and great outdoor seating! Quick with food, and good service, gave us a dog bowl with water!

I have tried almost all the items on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. If I were to have a complaint it would be the menu is too small since this is literally the only Italian cuisine in Hollister and as a lover of Italian food/culture it is on the vanilla side of variety.
