So cute. Calm and relaxing. And in a very unexpected location. It's tucked away like a hidden gem. The service is great and the food/tea was soooooo freakin good. I recommend the roobis vanilla mmmmmm

My mother and I have been coming to the Hollywood Chado Tea room since I was 12 years old (15 years now!) when they previously were located on 3rd street. My absolute favorite tea room! During my 3 years in college in London I compared every afternoon tea to Chado. The best selection of tea in the country (be sure to check out their full book) and such adorable afternoon tea sets. I don't eat eggs but I'll always devour their tea egg sandwich. When my grandmother was gravely anorexic due to Alzheimers, we could always bring her to Chado as the tomato soup was the only food we could get her to eat. Always dear to my heart, thank you Chado!

This place is such a gem! It's hidden in the most touristy spot (2nd floor of the ovation) but feels like you're somewhere tranquil. We had a reservation and thank goodness cause they were unusually overwhelmed with one server and one person in the kitchen, someone must have called out on them. But our server was very apologetic and everything came out wonderfully. The iced "champagne" tea was so refreshing. I had the butterscotch tea which tasted like maple pancakes, so I loved it! With cream and sugar the taste is even more prominent. I've had the coconut vanilla which is also delicious, but tamer in flavor if you prefer that. The tomato soup is delicious! It must have Parmesan or something in it. The salad was meh... just a tiny portion of mixed greens with vinaigrette. The celebration service was delicious! We shared one and we were worried it wasn't enough after we finished the sandwiches, but after the scone and desserts we were full. Took forever to get the check though. Still a fun time!

Ambience and service was great but the food was sub-par! The tea sandwiches were dry and filling was measly. I could have made much better sandwiches at home. Unfortunately the best thing on the afternoon tea service was the whipped butter, jam and tea. We were very disappointed! The setting of tables were nice and I enjoyed sipping my tea but the food was terrible. I would never go back to a Chado Tea Room for $74 for 2.

Such a cute place. Everything was perfectly tasty. Had the milk oolong tea, caprese salad, and pesto mozza panini. So many trinkets to look at.

Wonderful, full English afternoon tea with a glass of tea,-infused wine! The pot of my choice - Golden Monkey - of tea was prompt & & very hot. Definitely will recommend to a friend! Tea room just a couple of blocks from Chinese and Egyptian Theaters, but upstairs.

I LOVE this new discovery! I took 4 friends to celebrate my birthday at Chado in Hollywood on a Sunday afternoon. It was easy to get a reservation. Parking was a breeze (and only $3 in the shopping center lot). Staff was super sweet and attentive. GREAT tea selection (more exotic than I've seen in LA). We all ordered the Chado Afternoon Tea service, and most of us are vegetarian, which was a SUPER easy replacement (and no fuss). Decor/tea set is lovely and price is better than I've seen anywhere. For most of my guests, it was their first time doing afternoon tea, and they were so happy, which brought me so much joy. I CANNOT WAIT to return. Thank you so much!!

Lovely little oasis in the middle of the craziest part of Hollywood. Proper tea with a lot of selection served English style in little china cups. The waitress our day (Monday March 18 afternoon) was simply lovely although she was alone and overburdened by people at the Chado in LA calling her non stop because their computer was down. She handled it all with grace and charm and kindness. She deserves to be recognized by the management in my opinion. The Assam tea was perfect. My egg salad sandwich was tasty and my friend's paninni looked great. Nice little spinach side salad came with.Vegetarian options: egg salade

A cool ambience! Black tea understeeped and weird fake scone heavier than a brick served with sweetened creme fraiche for some reason. Seriously scones aren't that hard to make right - just ask any British grandma for a proper recipe. Nice orange shortbread cookies. Our server was nice. Don't serve things you don't know how to make. And if you run a tea room, learn how to bake a real scone

This was my second time visiting a Chado Tea Room, but my first time at the Hollywood location! I booked a reservation weeks in advance, and luckily, it wasn't too busy because it was just our luck that our reservation landed on a rainy day. The customer service was great; just like how my first visit was at the Pasadena location. The staff were so attentive and accommodated to our dietary needs. My friend and I enjoyed a good tea time. We got the Chado Afternoon Tea Service, and to be honest, the food wasn't like the most special thing in the world, but it paired well with the teas that we chose - Butterscotch and Earl Grey Imperial. The Butterscotch was deep and sweet while the Earl Grey Imperial was light and floral. My favorite food items in the Chado Afternoon Tea Service were the scones with strawberries & cream and the Punjab sandwich. Also, the ambiance, china, cutlery, and decor of the place really elevated the whole experience. In my opinion, Chado Tea Rooms are on the more affordable end for tea rooms around LA, so I'll definitely return for another special occasion!

I'm a big afternoon tea kind of girl. I have my favorite place but have been wanting to branch out to find new places so decided to check out Chado. Beautiful interior highlighting their vast tea selections and tea pot collections. We opted for the chado afternoon tea service with lavender earl grey and lychee green tea - both delicious and the green tea served in a glass pot garnish with beautiful florals. We added the tomato basil soups because of the high remarks and it was tasty but the side of untoasted thin white bread left me wanting more. As for the sandwiches I think a better thicker bread could give them more substance. The sandwiches are the same thin white bread making for a very thin sandwich. My favorite as for flavor was the punjab egg salad. The scones were good but very dense, I started getting full on those and decided to move onto eating the sandwiches before I completely maxed out. Overall a very cute place but sandwiches need some work :(

Good tea and lots of options. Great, friendly customer service. Kind of a little oasis close to the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Blvd.

The place looked cute but the food was just plain and basic. The teas were the best part about it except the fact that the tea cups and some plates were broken. Really good tea and customer service though
