Halcyon “Hal” Selfmade

This is my go to coffee shop. I get gift cards often, and the whole crew knows me and my order. If my travels don't take me through 7th metro, I just don't get coffee. Xyla, Jr., Anthony and the whole lot need a raise. Friendly, fast, and accurate.

Wheelchair accessibility: The doors are a little hard to navigate as a powerchair user, as they're narrow and poorly situated for the necessary sharp turns they create, but the crew always help me if I need it. I'm grateful for them, and they always put a smile on my face.

Possibly the worst Starbucks I’ve EVER been to in my life. I spend around 2k a year at Starbucks. I live at the top of the street and I’m a very busy hair stylist. So I mobile order my coffee so I can grab and GO…. This starbucks has let my drink/snacks get stolen 11 times! Their response ohLet us just make you another one…. That defeats the purpose of mobile ordering! Mind you there’s zero parking around this location. Everyone puts there hazards on and runs in and runs out. I had to have them remake my coffee once and came out to a 91.00 parking ticket.This last time was the icing on the cake. As I walked In the barista had this smirk on his face and said sorry you’re drinking pastries got stolen. Let me re-make you a new one. I said no you’re going to give me a refund and I’m now going to leave this store a yelp review and a Google review and call your HR as I’m headed into work, bc this is now the 11th time my drinks were stolen. he looked at me and said well…What do you want me to do about it and I’m like well that’s not how you talk to a customer second what I want you to do is monitor peoples drink so they don’t get stolen. OR PUT THEM BEHIND THE COUNTER. I now go out of my way to the Sunset Gower location where they have a designated person that handles drinks for you so this does not happen. Take note you idiots

Great atmosphere inside (outside is a bit iffy but whatever)- my drink was very good, I got the matcha lavender latte and it was the best I’d ever had, not to bitter but not too sweet.The service was great as well, they asked a lot of questions to make sure they provided the best service!

The opening hours on the door are 5am. the opening hours on the website and on Google are 5am. Even if they opened at 6 they still opened up late. My coffee was made after all the mobile orders and there was someone who ordered after me who got his food before me. I waited in that place for 10 min to get my food despite no line. It took them quite a bit to even acknowledge me. Then when I mentioned I was going to be late for work because they opened late and didn't tend to in store customers first I got a it's not our problem. And then before I left a nice young man offered me a holder but I said I didn't have time at this point and the female batista stepped in and Said again girl it's not our problem and gave me an attitude. Excuse me. It is ur problem when u open late. Why did I even tip if the service was terrible? I used to work in coffee. No one should be waiting that long with no line. I used to go here regularly. They lost my business because of thebatista. Dont go expecting to be taken care of. It seems very unprofessional here.

Great staff & super clean! However, the lack of a seating area is a downside. Perfect for grab-and-go coffee, but not ideal for sitting.

I am a very observant person. I am also a person who is very sensitive to all kinds of energy!. I find sometimes a business has to be very careful of who they hire and allow to be the front face of their company. I witnessed a young lady, blonde with rosacea on her cheeks, one of the worst nasty negative dark forces that we can come across in this world today she should be tucked in the back with all of the supplies no one should be punished to have to come in contact with her. She’s terrible when it comes to customer service mind you it’s not my business per se, that I own but I am a customer and I can observe when trouble is ahead and I can tell you she is no good for any company at this time until she does some inside work on herself !

Vegetarian options: I don’t need to say anything else other than my top comment. Please take that in account to save face in your business. Be very careful who you push forward that represents your company.
