Danny and Kali are the best. Great spot for drinks and chill vibes.

Haven't been here since the move from Sunset -still a fun hang serving the same great Brit pub vibes but other reviewers are totally spot on about the weird service! Our waitress was attentive at the start and food came out quickly though unceremoniously -the no eye contact/food and condiments getting sort of dropped onto the table feels like not a big deal when you read about it, but the experience really brings the energy/convo to a halt. Check then came out without a chance to order dessert or more drinks, so we awkwardly sent check back and got one more round (gotta take advantage of that Guinness on tap). And then we were like, totally forgotten about. Tried flagging down our waitress/other servers who would look our way and then kind of...ignored us? It was bizarre! We ended up having to chase them down inside the restaurant after waiting to get the check for over half an hour and almost getting a parking ticket cuz of it. So overall, I'd def come back for trivia and bites, but the service brought the mood down in a funky way! Normally I'd chalk it up to an off night for staff but this seems like kind of the norm so...anglophiles on a schedule, you have been warned!

I wanted to have a tea party for 12 people for my birthday, and after looking all over town for weeks for the right spot, decided the combo of the menu and the atmosphere at The Cat and the Fiddle would be a good fit. I knew the food would be great from going there previously, but wasn't sure about how a party would work out. It exceeded all expectations - and I had a lot of expectations. The staff was really warm and accommodating; they gave our group the upper patio, and saw to everything. The food was freaking delicious - I'm going to dream about the veggie rolls. We were able to linger as long as we wanted without any pressure to clear out. The whole vibe was just lovely all around, I can't speak highly enough about it. And it took everything in me not to go back the next day, because the St. Patrick's Day menu looked amazing. Next year!

Update To A Recent Review: Mar 16.2024 Had dinner at Cat & Fiddle Restaurant again last night as I wanted to introduce a young lady friend who'd never had British food to some of the better classics... I had a solid Beef Wellington here a year ago on Xmas Eve. I had even crowed about it some to my friend. We both ordered it. It's a dish I've eaten at many restaurants and in the UK and these were really mediocre. It's supposed to be pink in the middle. Mine was well done and my date's was only a little better, looking more medium than medium rare. The problem was also with the pastry wrapping, as it was moist and fell apart mostly as you ate it... Wellington's pastry wrap is supposed to be crispy brown and I wonder if they even painted the beef with the mustard as the recipe calls for. As for the gravy, it was good and helped the mild flavor. The scotch egg appetizers didn't have the sprinkled green herbs you'll see in the photos by other reviewers. One of my favorite desserts is sticky toffee pudding and the one we were served was anything but-- a dry square piece of cake with caramel sauce and basic whipped cream a la Reddi Whip, no clotted cream or toffee caramel covering. There was barely any of it. A real letdown. Look, I love this place - the space and draft Guinness and conscientious service - those are all on point and excellent even. Know that I WANT C&F to continue to succeed but after my two recent meals there? I have to wonder about who is at the helm in the kitchen these days. I was polite with my previous review and looked the other way at the tiniest amounts of fish under a lot of crisp in their fish and chips, but, I'm doing the restaurant and you, the readers, a disservice by being gracious. As the bill was sizable with Wellingtons running $38 apiece last night, I feel it only fair to ask that they address the decline in the quality of the food.

First time at this pub with my wife, I will say it is so cute!!!!. Cool ambiance. The Scottish eggs were really good! We will definitely return because my new fav drink is currently here the "Apple Butter Bee's Knees. It is so good i wanted to take one to go.

Way back in the day, we used to go to The Cat when it was on Sunset, and we were sad to hear they closed. So, fast forward to years later, we were happy to see they reopened, and we finally made it down to enjoy. The atmosphere is great, the food and drinks are delicious and the service was perfect. Fish & Chips, Apple Butter Bee's Knees and Sticky Toffee pudding was heaven! Pictured is the Beef Wellington which my husband thoroughly enjoyed.

Pretty good place with decent prices and food. Nice ambiance and a good happy hour, too. But they need better parking options (after 6pm, nearly all surrounding street or meter parking is not available) -- and there is valet next door but it's pricey for a pub. Also they don't have plain martini glasses. Just weird big clunky ones.

Went for the Sunday Roast. Angus beef was outstanding. Potatoes and veg perfectly cooked, gravy on the side. My parents were from Yorkshire and the pudding was not perfect but very good. It’s hard to cook Yorkshire Pudding perfect and I enjoyed it. In town visiting my daughters and I will definitely come here again; especially on a Sunday. And the atmosphere is very much a British pub style.
