Winchell's Donut House

I'm diabetic, but I do go there and buy the bran muffins and they are delicious. A lot of the donuts and pastries are good too plus they have hot bagels and croissant sandwiches really good

The dude that works there is the friendliest guy in LA. He's working all by himself too. Give him a big tip.

I work in the delivery industry and came here to pick up an order for a customer. And I was going to buy a coffee. I asked politely if I could use the toilet as I urgently needed it and the staff told me I couldn't :) Only customers can use it. I asked if I could use the toilet and the staff told me I couldn't. Only customers can use it :) This is really rude and unreasonable. Of course I gave up on getting a coffee, it's a place like this…

Employees are extremely friendly I had just got out of urgent care and was waiting for my ride to show even though the dinner was closed due to it being after hours as soon as I got my food the night shift employee was kind enough to let me sit down in the dinner to enjoy my food and to gwait till my ride showed up differently got my morning starting off great thanks again to the Latino guy who was working night shift T

Ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese bagels, 2 large iced coffees. Coffee does not taste very good, like it's burnt. Bacon egg and cheese literally has a couple tiny pieces of bacon sprinkled in the egg... Not worth the money, go get a better breakfast sandwich and Magees Donuts near by, and an iced coffee from the 711 next to it.

I ordered a French vanilla chilla, but it had coffee in it. I tried to exchange it, but the server wouldn't, even though the menu in the store didn't say it was a French vanilla cappuccino but just French vanilla under the chilla. Also, we asked for 2 two lemon filled donuts, but he gave us one and a chocolate covered custard filled donut. Then he said something about us in Spanish to another Spanish speaking customer. The language barrier was the reason why my donut order was not correct. I was asking if the lemon filling was custard, not that I wanted a custard filled donut. He just said yes when I asked.

The customer service is terrible. The heavy set young girl working at the cash register needs some customer service training. She tried to get crazy with me simply because the credit card machine was asking me to enter a pin number. In spite of the fact that I have the pin, she said that the machine does not accept pins, which is utterly absurd. That is an ignorant way to run a business for the simple reason that that additional security measure is there to protect customes from fraud. There was no logic to her argument, and she was making no sense at all. Her temper got the best of her and she started being defensive and argumentative as a result. I can tell from the look on the other employees' faces, that they were looking at her as if she was mad and unintelligent. It would be very easy for me to understand if I was in the wrong here. Nevertheless, in this particular case she was in the wrong, and also refused to acknowledge that fact. In my opinion, she is a terrible employee and needs to be retrained.

And on top of that! My breakfast order was given to the wrong person and I again had to wait another 15 minutes for my food. To make matters even worse, they get mad at the customer for mistakes they make.

There is really a need for someone to take a look at the employees at this business and reevaluate them.

Came here for breakfast. Amazing fluffy egg and ham bagel sandwich. The bagel was fresh and hot. The donut was good, it overwhelmingly sweet.
