I never knew until today that it was even possible to make a bad doughnut, but that's exactly what Winchell's was serving. At 7:45 am this morning, I walked into the Winchell's Donut House on Vine in Hollywood. The doughnuts were all lined up in a row behind the glass like they're suppose to be, but while waiting for my turn, I noticed the tops of the donuts were not glistening like they should if they had just been dipped. Instead, the toppings looked stiff and many were cracking. However, I was in denial because I was really looking forward to a "warm n fresh donut" like they advertise. I bought five doughnuts (a maple bar, old-fashioned, glazed buttermilk, apple fritter, and a crumb) and unfortunately, none of them were warm and all of them were stale. On top of that, they weren't even flavorful. It was a major let down. At least the young woman helping me was pleasant.

Service was absolutely horrible! The supposed manager here gave us attitude and was rushing us when we were ordering. When I brought to her attention that service could have been better she proceeded to ignore me and roll her eyes. She then proceeded to speak Spanish in which time I started talking to her in Spanish so she knows that her behavior was unacceptable. When I asked the employees for her name they said they didn't know her name. On top of it, the sandwich we asked for was made incorrectly. This store has been going downhill for a while now and this just proved it. I highly suggest avoiding going to this place. I am only putting 1 star since I can't do 0 stars.

This Winchell's is in a small strip mall right on Vine Street in Hollywood. It is super easy to find a place to park and it is free.Both the exterior and interior of this Winchell's is spotless. You can tell that whoever is working there at the time takes pride in the presentation of this great donut shop.The service is wonderful and there are a few places to eat inside or just grab a dozen and take them with you.All of the donuts we had were fresh and ever so tasty. The prices are reasonable and they also have sandwiches and breakfast items.This was our first time at this Winchell's and it was great.Have fun.

I haven’t had this donut since I was a kid in the 90s I remember it was soft and moist. Last night I decided to take a trip down memory lane I had a classic glazed donut, and it still taste great! If you’re cruising Hollywood blvd stop by.
