Best wine tasting I’ve ever had. John provides great wines and a lot of useful information, awesome conversation. This winery has so many good wines, hard to believe they can do so much and so many of them taste so good!
Strong selection of Cal-Ital wines, red and white, some esoteric, and wonderful prices. One bottle purchase covers the tasting fee - such a deal. Friendly folks - this is John in the picture. I do wish they would have more of their wines available to taste, but at there prices and the overall quality it doesn't hurt to buy them without tasting. Looking forward to enjoying the Tocai Friulano, Greco di Tufo, Fiano, Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio and Colombard (a Frenchy grape)...
I love this winery. They have a great selection of Italian variatals. I am still trying to get through them all. But of the ones I tasted I enjoyed them all. The wines are reasonably priced so it is so tempting to leave with a mixed case. John is always pleasant, knowledgeable, and can direct you to the wines your palate finds pleasing. Never don't stop when in Hopland.
