What I witnessed on Thursday night was extremely disturbing. Several staff members were visibly intoxicated and were fighting with each other behind the bar. The owner was sitting at a table with friends, clearly drunk, eating chili cheese fries while this behavior was happening as if it were completely normal.
The bartender continued serving alcohol to people who could barely stand. At one point, a staff member began yelling and cursing at a table. When that table went to close their tab, an intoxicated employee started yelling at them and then grabbed a customer by the neck. The customer threw the employee to the ground in self-defense.
The owner then got up and aggressively confronted the customer. Security rushed over and appeared visibly intoxicated and possibly under the influence of drugs, acting ready to fight rather than de-escalate the situation. Multiple staff members surrounded the customer, grabbing at him while he kept his hands up and repeatedly asked them to stop.
The staff then jumped the customer, and chaos broke out. Throughout the entire incident, the customer did not throw a single punch and was clearly trying to defend himself without escalating the situation.
The owner and staff should be held accountable for their behavior. I do not know the customer personally, but if he or anyone connected to him sees this review, I am willing to provide a witness statement if needed

Fun and casual atmosphere! They had the live game on when we walked in. Servers are so friendly, beer is cold, food is good. Its just the thing you want when you visit a so cal beach ⛱️

VERY GROSS 🤢 the service is so bad they are actually walking around with no shoes on and being just rude. They didn’t ID anyone that came in and clearly served underage.

Aloha Grill is a Downtown HB favorite! Restaurant area, live bands sometimes play, plus bar area and great view from upstairs on the patio overlooking DT. You must try the signature rainbow drink with the rum floater! Aloha Grill always supports the community by holding events!

We celebrate a friend’s birthday over here and the food was good. The service was OK. The atmosphere was great. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends and have a great time if you’re in the area stop by here and get yourself one of these rainbow drinks!

Fantastic spot for fresh flavors and great drinks! I had a poke bowl, and it was absolutely delicious—super fresh fish, perfect seasoning, and great portions. To top it off, I enjoyed a refreshing michelada that was perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. Great food, great vibes—definitely coming back!

Service was great at the beginning before it picked up. Took awhile to get the check and for the server to run payment. This place is short staffed and I had to flag our server down twice. The worst Hawaiian food and drink I've ever had. We ordered the teriyaki plate and pulled pork plate. Chicken was dry and mac salad had no flavor. Pulled pork was more edible and not as dry as the chicken. The aloha margarita was very strong in alcohol and you couldn't taste anything else. No coconut or pineapple flavor. Quality of food and drink did not match the price.
