I was so looking forward to trying this place. Went on a Saturday, around 2p. It was closed. No message on the door. Online, they are open 11a-7p on Saturdays. Went to the Thai restaurant in the same plaza. Like the ratings given, this other restaurant was only so-so. So disappointed I wasn't able to try Banana Leaf.
Best fried rice I’ve ever had. The spices were amazing. And the sausage inside the fried rice was packed with flavor- a pleasant surprise. Looking forward to trying the other dishes.

Authentic flavor, generous portion, and unbeatable price.
Ordered the chicken fried rice for lunch, came out fast and delicious. Had a lot of vegetables also.

My 2nd time there. Ordered Red Curry w/chicken to go, steamed rice. Asked that curry be spicy w/a 'kick'. Got what I asked for. Certainly was a kick. Sooo good ??.Again, Banana Leaf is definitely one of the CLEANEST eateries around. Dare say it puts some of the big names to shame. It's now the major reason I go. The food also, of course ???

Delicious food
We were craving for Indonesian place, couldn't find anywhere near, and this Laotian place was the closest. The place is very small with one big table of 6 in the center and side wall table (3 seats), so you can still dine in. Mostly people only order for a take-out.We had Satay, Fried Meatball, and Mango Sticky rice. Everything was wonderful.Important note: It's not for the impatience. We waited more than 45 minutes for our food since they prepared everything fresh - they have a warning sign for this.
Ate here as a quick bite a few months ago and I still can't get the taste out of my head! I was very pleased to find out there's a Laotian restaurant in Long Beach and that they've sold Mok Pa. My little brother got their fried Lao sausage and it was also great. An authentic taste of Laos everybody has to come here and try them out.
Great customer service, took care of my vehicle helping me to understand what needed to be done in an honest way. I would recommend them to anyone

I ordered from the restaurant, the order went through, was charged and when my husband went to pickup the food they were closed with no explanation. Extremely disappointed in their lack of empathy or customer service when they randomly called the next day stating ‘they were closed’ and asking whether we wanted to fulfill the order a day later. Please fix order system so this does not happen to anyone else. Orders should not go through if closed. Website- as well as google and order system all showed ‘open’. Will not be ordering from this place again.
Overpriced compared to other nearby choices
Ribs were great. Very spicy sauces. Kuah Mee wasn’t good - should have gone for fried rice or something else
