mediocre food and company
I just went to BJ’s for lunch and it was a 15 minute wait just to sit down because they didn’t have enough help and this was not the first time. How does the restaurant at lunchtime not have enough staff on a regular basis to provide for a restaurant this large .” there was maybe 10 people at the bar, but the restaurant had like maybe three tables full.this is unacceptable and I have a feeling for all the other reviews that I just read that your place is going down .how come you can’t get help. I don’t know what it is. Bring people from other cities to run your restaurant. It was so good in the very beginning and it has been going downhill since it opened on Harvard Road in Warrensville Heights. OHIO. What happened? Is it the staff locally? Is it the management is it corporate? I feel sorry for you but this place is not gonna last and especially for people who don’t drink but want a really good meal that you used to have.
We have gone to the Anaheim Hills location for years however after last week it most likely will be our last. For the last 12 months the service has been extremely bad. It’s either understaffed or very bad training. Multiple times the staff leaves you sitting sometimes 10 minutes or longer before acknowledging you are there when it’s not that busy. Our orders have been consistently placed wrong and to go orders have to be checked. We have more than given this location a chance but have decided unless they get new management and have better customer service training we most likely will not return. There are many more choices who value their clients.
We've been going to Bj's for years on Blossom Hill Road in San Jose. We had taken our friends there and had the prime rib special for the $34.00. Both prime ribs were awful. I was embarrassed, since we had been raving about how great it was. We immediately notified the manager and they replaced the prime ribs and they were better, but still not as good as they had been. We've been going for take out for the half off Monday night pizza and noticed the toppings, getting less and less over time. The only reason we keep going back is because it's half off. Last night we went with our neighbor to Bj's for dinner and I again had the prime rib dinner. The price went up, and the food was not good. The prime rib had a huge piece of fat on one end, which I immediately cut off, which made the prime rib significantly smaller, the potato was not cooked all the way done, so hard to get the butter/sour cream mx to mash into it( very little butter) , and then the asparagus was wrinkled, dried out, but crunchy. I'm not sure how they managed to keep them crunchy, yet the were wrinkled and really dried out. I took my pazookie cookie home, only to find out they burnt it too. Seriously, what a huge disappointment. For years, Bj's has been my go to place for the prime rib dinner, but now, I think even if I have to pay more, I will be looking for a better place for prime rib. One last thing, the dinner salad was huge and very good, if they could only get the rest of the meal to match, I'd go back. With restaurant prices so high in California, restaurants need to do better!
You show pictures of what your pizzas should look like but when you get the pizza it is not even close to the picture I used to order the BJS Favorite all of the time but what I got last night was unacceptable I will longer be a BJS customer until you fix the problem I know the rising costs of everything l affects everything but I could buy a bigger and better pizza for less money at a bowling alley in Downey Unless you change I am done with BJS
I wish i did not have to give one star because i LOVE BJs in Colorado. My lunch experience today was absolutely horrible. I go to this restaurant often but will not be returning. Jalen our server was extremely RUDE to our table, slamming our drinks on the table and mad at us for WHATEVER reason? He obviously had a chip on his shoulder and he took it out on us. We asked to speak to the manager named Maria who offered NO solutions or apology to the server's attitude. One of our meals was a burger with brisket and the brisket was frozen cold? Again we asked to speak to the manager Maria and she again did not offer any solution to fixing the problem. I have NEVER had an experience at BJs at this location I go to often. During our time there, nobody came to see if we needed anything else. We were completely ignored for NO apparent reason. Customer Service is very important and it was very clear that the new manager Maria did not take our concerns seriously? Very disappointing as we will not be returning to this location again !
Myself a couple of my groups where going the Escondido location at least 2 times a week.
Of course we know the happy hour venue very well and have ordered the same things often.
Last week I ordered happy hour pizza the same as always. This time it was a new server. She stated I can't order that way and needs to charge extra.
She could not explain why. She left and the assistant manager came out and I asked the same thing and said this the way I've been getting it. Well others are not following policy and if I don't like it I can go somewhere else. So I left.
A couple days late we came back ordered same thing. No problem but a differat assistant came out and she said under my watch you are cut off at 2 glasses of wine.
Others have also have issue with her.
The incident the other day was not alcohol related
My groups are now going to other places
Today I came to dinner with my family at Bj's Restaurant in Valencia California... The experience I had was below average, the service by the waitress left a lot to be desired... my six year old daughter spilled her lemonade and the waitress threw a dirty towel at us without any prudence... let me tell you that from the moment she took the order she was distinguished by being rude and unfriendly when serving... then after a few minutes she came back to throw the straws on the table... leaving her attitude a bad moment for me and my family... my son had just taken his order and wanted to change it and the answer was that the order had already been sent to the kitchen... therefore it could not be changed and my son had to settle for the original order... today as is customary in my family we went out to dinner at a restaurant on New Year's Eve... but the experience left by the service of this restaurant is decadent... I hope that my comment helps you to correct the deficiency in the service and you can move forward in improving the service... for my part I will never return to this place... considering the vast culinary market that California offers us...
Hello, I ate at the restaurant on Beach in Westminster/Huntington Beach yesterday and it was the slowest service I've ever had. It took 20 minutes for them to take my order. We had to keep asking and reminding them for refills. The food was cold. The servers were not nice. They forgot to order our pazookie so that took 30 minutes to get our pazookie. The manager was not helpful at all. I will not be returning. Also, I've been there when it's been way busier and got way better and faster service. It was not busy, it was 9pm last night.
Hell Nahhh to these one star reviews

I visited your location in Las Vegas located at 7190 South Rainbow for the first time a few weeks ago. I Sat at the bar for 10 to 15 minutes without acknowledgment and walked out. So I decided to give it another chance this evening. Which is October 23, 2024 at 7:50 PM. I ordered off your special, soup salad. The salad was rotten and the soup was lukewarm. I then asked for a manager via the waitress. The manager took close to 15 minutes to come over to the table and when she did, she was very cold very unpleasant with her demeanor, she made me feel as if she didn’t care for African-Americans at, all and treated me as if I was wasting her time . Her name was Amy, she does not have the proper disposition to be in hospitality at all.
I will be reposting this on all my platforms
There was a time....we were in BJ's so frequently when it first opened in Sparks NV that we often remarked "we need to buy some stock in the restaurant", and so we did. I accumulated many reward points over the years and enjoyed many times there. More recently, say over the past year, service has been wanting and finally I complained about food and service several months ago. Today I stopped for lunch and after ordering at the bar I was reminded of my reason to avoid BJ's because of the obnoxious and loud music (which apparently is controlled by corporate and out of the hands of the servers at hand). Anyway, I ordered the lunch menu Southern Fried Chicken and a glass of wine (sitting at the bar). several minutes later I'm approached by a young man asking if I ordered the Parmesan Chicken, I told him no and what I had ordered. Several other customers came in, ordered and ate while I waited, and waited, and eventually was presented with a chicken part that was so darkly fried (burned is the word) I returned it and left without lunch. BJ's is off my list, oh, I we sold our stock. Moving on.
Worst experience of our 35Yr association with BJ's Meneffe,CA.
Quality of food was way below par, served cold when should have been hot, manager was not really concerned. Refused to pay for meal. Kitchen staff needs to be fired!!! GMYRLDF. Wifes birthday dinner with eldest daughter and son in law a distaster. Pazookies were not even properly cooked. I usually purchase -$400-600 worth of gift cards each year. Perhaps not this and future years. As far as I'm concerned BJ's owes me.
Bud service bad management bud training but miscommunication en understanding in their servi bud business
Good afternoon,
to whom it may concern.. i am formally filling an complaint about location 450 and specifically store manger Ashley. my wife, myself and a friend had dinner or attempted to have dinner last night at this location. our waiters name was Cesar, no complaints with him. However we had a nightmare after our food came to the table. My wife ordered potstickers and when she started eating them all of a sudden she started feeling funny, that because she was literally choking on the long hair strand that was lodged in her throat, and she had to pull out. this was beyond disgusting and totally unacceptable. after letting our waiter know, he immediately apologized and said he would talk to his manager- Ashley. afterwards my wife kept gagging in disgust and we asked to speak to the manger personally. the manager who identified herself as Ashley was beyond rude, showed no empathy, Never apologized, and we she asked what she could do we answered make it right and waive the entire bill, she rudely said no I'm not taking the drinks off. we continued to say so let me get this straight my wife literally eats one of your cooks hair and has to pull it out of her throat, again beyond disgusting and the best you say you can do is take off two meals of the three and not waive the three drinks. she again rudely answered no and said i can bring the bill and left and came back dropped the bill off and that was that. she escalated this beyond professionalism. little does she know who was at that table last night. and not only do i have several witnesses to her Rudeness, but pictures of the hair that will be surfacing the internet if i do not hear back from somebody asap!!
