I went from always wanting to try this place to having both lunch and dinner here while spending the day in HB. Really liked it and will definitely visit again. Beautiful view of the pier/beach/strip, conveniently located, cute outdoor patio (though unfortunately the patio does not have a view of the pier). The food and service were delicious and wonderful! Very positive, attentive, and knowledgeable of the menu and the HB area in general. It gives nice but non pretentious vibes. 😍 delicious american fare. Thak you to the wonderful team! 😋❤️

It's always a great experience at Bluegold. I had the Lychee Sour cocktail to kick things off and it was delicious. Of course, we had to have the milk rolls because they are the perfect balance of savory and sweet. I had the filet mignon, Vietnamese style and it melted in my mouth. My husband had the sea bass and he loved it. Our server was very patient, personable and just plain delightful. We had a great night.

Bluegold is always a favorite. One of the best in the Huntington Beach area. Our midweek experience was a little subpar compared to previous visits. Very slow, inattentive service and less varied menu than seen previously. But still would highly recommend.

We eat at Blue Gold often. Regular customers. We were very disappointed with our sea bass! It was mostly potatoes and small portion of fish! Totally not worth it! We also tried calling restaurant and the mailbox is full! Please respond to this review.

Pacific City is the perfect halfway point between my best friend and me, so we meet there once a month for lunch. At first, we planned to eat our way through every restaurant in the mall. But then we found Bluegold—and now it's just our place. We always get a great table, the servers are consistently attuned and on point, and the whole place just has a good energy. It's the perfect blend of relaxed and elegant, the food is phenomenal, and there's nothing better than catching up over brunch with a view of the ocean.

Last call 8:30 but closing time 9:30! What’s the point of putting down closing time if service is shut down ONE HOUR before closing. What a waste of time.

We had a mixed experience during our recent visit. The original hostess, who appeared to be of Asian descent, was absolutely wonderful—kind, welcoming, and professional. However, our interaction with the other hostess was quite disappointing. When we politely requested to sit at a table by the window in the center area, she repeatedly declined and insisted those tables were reserved. Despite our multiple requests, we were directed to a less desirable area toward the end of the restaurant. Surprisingly, the window tables remained empty throughout our entire visit. What was most concerning, though, was the way this hostess handled the interaction—making visible facial expressions that came across as unwelcoming and dismissive.We believe some additional training in customer service and professionalism could greatly improve the guest experience. A more respectful and accommodating approach would go a long way in creating a positive and inclusive environment for all customers. 
Everything was excellent! Came here on a Saturday night with some friends and had just the best experience. Service was impeccable. Food was delicious.

Delicious food. Server a bit slow, but very cheerful. Clam chowder was amazing and also was the short ribs. The oysters were washed out too much so there was little flavor. Salads look kind of poor.

Had a great dining experience at Bluegold! The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was on point. I ordered the white sea bass, a cocktail, and a beer—while the sea bass wasn’t quite to my taste, everything else was absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and fresh, and I really appreciated the creativity behind the cocktail. Would definitely come back to try more from the menu!

Service was painfully slow. We arrived at 7pm. No one came to give us water or check on us for 15 min. We ordered when they filled our water. 30 min later, the appetizer arrived. Dinner did not arrive until 8:20pm. A random waitress who delivered our meal apologized for the long wait and offered to comp dessert, said she'd bring a menu and never did. By the time we were done with our meal, I told my husband we'd been there long enough and didn't want to wait an exorbitant amount of time for a comped dessert, so we paid and left. It seems like it's an issue with the kitchen. This isn't the first time this has happened. Hope they get this figured out. We have been regulars, but we left saying we won't be back
