One of the multitude of Huntington Beach donut shops. Each one has it's own personality and we are always rooting for the small business owner! We had tried two other places on Father's Day last Sunday. One was a popular local restaurant that was packed and a huge line waiting. The next was a donut shop that said it was open, but it was closed - probably because it was out of donuts, we realize now. Dey's Doughnuts was our next stop. They were wiped out of inventory but had a few things left. We each got a ham and cheese croissant heated. I added a rasperry filled donut and my husband a chocolate old fashioned. The owner was super nice and apologetic about the lack of selection. She threw in a free raised glazed since she wanted us to "try her donuts." It was really fresh and delicious. This place has no made to order breakfast sandwiches, just the premade ham and cheese or ham, cheese and jalapeno croissants. Very nice no frills, inexpensive donut shop with a sweet owner.

Love the apple fritters when they're not sold out, and the service Very friendly.

Had to throw donuts away because they tasted like they were fried in dirty oil. Don't buy here

We have been here a few times and normally the donuts are good, which is why I did not give 1 star, but today, we purchased $10 in donuts and there was an awful taste to them. One family member said the donuts tasted like they were cooked in shrimp oil, another said it seemed like a chemical was mixed in the oil, and neither of the kids, who LOVE donuts, ate more than one bite.

I'm from the Bay area but everytime I come visit family I would drop by here to support this small family business, the owner is so sweet and nice always puts a smile on my face. I usually pick up a variety box and the owner would hook it up with some donut holes if there was extra and she would fill it up with custard if she had extra. BUT THE GO TO for me in this store is the mini croissants with sugar and cinnamon in top always sold out when I get there, have to go early to make sure you get it

Very good donuts at reasonable prices. Very friendly. Unfortunately, they are cash only.

From the doughnuts, to the ham n cheese croissants, everything here is great. The lady who runs this place could not be sweeter. She is always so pleasant, smiling, and happy to see you. Highly recommend Deys!

If you like to support small or family owned businesses this is the one!! I've gone here ever since I was a kid since it's within walking distance. The doughnuts are just as sweet as the owner who has always welcomed me with a smile. She always gave me extra doughnut holes which were like the jackpot as a five year old and still make me smile as an 18 year old. I'm glad to see she's still running after all these years and through the pandemic.
