Have been going to Don Ramones for well over 20 years ago when it started as Cantamars at Bolsa Chica/Warner. Great family run restaurant. R

I love this place but every time I dine here, I never get an itemized bill so I never know what I am being charged for. I know this sounds petty...and I could ask and get the itemized bill but I never do. The food is great and are the servers.

Parking: I'm so happy my girlfriend showed me this great restaurant. I have never come across another sit-down Mexican restaurant that offered free bean dip with their chips and salsa! What a tasty and great start to the meal.Had the combination plate with the chile relleno and my girlfriend had the enchiladas verdes. Both dishes were excellent in taste and quantity of food. Did not need more than 1 item for the combo to get full. They also do not skimp put on the delicious queso.Overall food quality, nice atmospheric vibe. I just loved the decor and entire dining experience. Will definitely recommend this spot to friends. Worth the visit.

The food is very good. Never had bad service. But atmosphere was a little more fitting at the previous location. Now it is primarily just a white box. N depending on where u sit can b quite loud, because one area is a little echo-y. As unusual as it sounds being near the bar is one of the places to sit.Parking: The parking lot specific to the restaurant is not huge, but there is usually no problem getting a space because there is a very large shopping center lot attached.

Love this place! Good, ole, gut fillin Mexican food! Clean interior and decor with great service. The salsa, bean dip, and chips are an appetite killer! They are so good that you have to fight from eating them and it's just chips! Good beans and rice are always nice but the food is just good ole fashioned Mexican food. A repeat, go-to, restaurant.

I don't have anything against this place, but you can get better Mexican food for cheaper prices elsewhere. While some people may be nostalgic for this spot, overall, it's just average.

LOVE, the warn bean dip and salsa with chips when you are seated. Quiet, and always delicious. A little busier than usual during lunch hour today.

This is hands down the BEST Mexican food by far in the entire OC area. We have tired a bunch of different restaurants and Taquerias none have reminded us home. We moved to Southern California over three years ago and Don Ramon's was the restaurant we had been searching for. I am a huge fan of carnitas and let's just they know what they are doing. We love the salsa & bean dip (if you like spicy, they have that) my girlfriend loves their enchiladas and I can't stop eating the carnitas plate. The best part of all is the service, everyone cares and you are never waiting for refills and food. I had the pleasure of meeting Alice yesterday when we stopped by for lunch, I had to stop and introduce myself to let her know that we are huge fans and this place reminds us of home. A big Thank you to Alice and her family for letting us try all the amazing food from your grandmothers recipes.

My fiancé order chili Colorado and I order the chili verde they had no flavor at all very disappointed, I couldn't even finish it had two bites and I was done with it only ate the rice. Service is good, place is nice.

What, in the name of all that is flavorful, are you people smoking? For the life of me, I do not understand all the 4 and 5 star reviews. This place is the plain Quaker oatmeal of Mexican food. The service was fine, but I've had better Mexican food out of a box. The bean dip I see people raving about is flavorless slop. Beans, rice, enchiladas, taquitos... it all tasted like nothing. Don Ramon's may have been great in its former location, but it's certainly crap now. Other reviews have superlatives like "the best Mexican food in HB!" or "the best in Orange County!" People, this isn't even the best Mexican food *on that same street*. Unless you're taking great grandma out for something "exotic" that won't upset her tummy (and she can eat with her dentures out), do yourself a favor and keep driving one more block down Edinger to George's. Or hang a right on Beach and head up to Slater for Trejo's.

Amazing food and great service. Our waiter made us a drink that was not on the menu. How cool is that!
