Fisherman's Table Yamasaki

Terrible experience.
Plastic in chirashi bowl and bad uni.
When pointed out, server pedantically asked if uni wasn’t in our palette because everyone else’s was fine. We love uni (that hasn’t gone bad) and just returned from Japan.
“Spicy/Garlic” edamame undercooked and cold
Food served at a strange tempo for 5 people with people eating at totally disparate times.

Some of the fish was solid, but basically none excellent.

Will not return.

The response below is gaslighting bullshit. We are regulars connoisseurs and enjoyers of uni. We enjoy it regularly. It was absolutely off. Unfortunate that the restaurant has no humility in their mistake, as we would typically have no issue with a simple supply issue.

So please absolutely avoid a place that serves plastic and bad uni in the same bowl and then tries to insist that it’s impossible. Hard yikes, will actively advocate against this business.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had outside of Japan. The lunch omakase goes toe-to-toe with some very pricey sushi meals I’ve had at a fraction of the price. Total bill including a 720ml bottle of Juemon sake was less than a single person’s omakase elsewhere.

We ordered the Special and Premium sets. They also have larger omakase sets which require advanced reservation.
It's a small place so I imagine reservations on weekends may be needed.

Loved the tuna, (smoked) albacore, salmon sashimi (was fatty and had onion garnish and seasoned), bay scallops, salmon handroll, crab handroll.
It was cute that every dish was presented on different plates.

We also tried:
The Horse Mackerel and Amberjack but didn't melt in mouth as much as the other sashimi.
Scallop- good at first then had a fishy aftertaste
Sea bream- texture was good but for some reason it tasted like soap. My friend didn't taste the same thing. Maybe it came from the dish itself?

Would come back again!

Wow, wow, wow! I've been meaning to come to this place, and I finally got the chance to go for my birthday. My bestie and I both ordered the Yamasaki Set. It was truly worth every penny! During our meal, I texted my husband that "we had to come back, so he can have the same experience that I did." It was THAT good. Our set starts off with the seafood salad (came with little white fishies, scallops, and salmon sashimi, 5 pc sashimi (smoked albacore, halibut, tuna, kanpachi, and ankimo), 3 piece nigiri (salmon, hotate, and yellowtail), 1 toro handroll, another 3 piece nigiri (mackerel, blue fin tuna, amberjack), miso soup (one of the better miso soups I've ever had since it was more rich), 1 blue crab handroll, then finish with a otoro and uni nigiri. I'm sure some pieces tend to change, but this is what we received. OMG! This was all that I wanted for my birthday. Everything was truly amazing! I'm already thinking about going back asap! The ambiance was lovely. Our service was even better. There's free parking in the plaza. Thank you again, Fisherman's Table Yamasaki for a memorable birthday dinner. One for the books!

Hands down the best Sushi experience i have had yet. Sushi is sold as sets, so you order the set and they bring it out as you dine.

Food tasted fresh and rich.

Location is small so reservation may be the recommendation.

Staff was very friendly and happy to have us.

I highly recommend this location.

We tried numerous items on and off the menu like the coconut shrimp tempura and deep fried scallops, sashimi, sushi etc, the chef prepared everything exceptionally. We were so impressed with the quality and taste, and even more impressed with their late night hours!! The waiter was very attentive and had our order out immediately. We will definitely be back.

Amazing experience at the fish carving. The chef and his staff were wonderful. All the bluefin tuna you can eat. As fresh fish as you can possibly get definitely a great sushi place..

Tasty and high quality sushi/food! The place is small and was full of customers, making it hard to hear because the acoustics aren't very good. The servers were very nice, although there were multiple mistakes on food orders and on the check that they corrected without any issues.

I think this quality and unique fish selection speaks to the chef's pride and precision.
