I still think about the sushi I had here. In fact I have dreams about it.I was born and raised in Hawaii where fresh seafood was always available and always delicious rarely ever frozen. I’ve also been stationed in Japan for a few years and ate a looot of sushi.Coming back to the states and moving to California, finding good sushi that can compare had been difficult but who knew a place like this was so near to where I lived??Definitely gonna become a regular here!Thank you!

You guys be careful!!! I paid with my credit card and my bill total was $245. I tipped $50 CASH. These people added 23% gratuity on to my credit card at the end of the night when they closed it out thinking that I wouldn’t notice! Mind you that it was no accident. This was very intentional trying to steal and cunning. Every night before businesses close down, they have to close out the credit card machines and input on there manually what the tip was for each transaction, number by number. On the receipt, I put $0 for tip and the total as what it is. $50 CASH was in there for tip. Thats a very cunning way to try and steal from people that dine at your restaurant. Needless to say, I’m never returning to support!! BEWARE!!!

FOOD pictures are nicer than what it is. The day I was there for Sat night dinner, only 2 people are working there, one at the back kitchen and one at the front. The Front guy is making the sushi but he's also running around taking order, serving drinks. His hand touching all kind of stuff, then rushingly making sushi. This is not acceptable at a sushi restaurant when you can see everything at the counter. Maybe if the main Japanese Chef is there, it will be different experience on that day. We ended just ordering a few pieces of sushi instead of a full course and go somewhere else for a 2nd dinner. To their credit, their sushi rice is pretty good and they do use fresh wasabi.

Fisherman’s Table Yamasaki!(Meant to post under Paul Gorman but posted on my wife’s account somehow)Just in case you haven’t been there for a while or not at all, here is a recap of our visit during the Super Bowl this afternoon/evening.We have been here many times and Fisherman’s Table Yamasaki never disappoints. Tonight we had the honor of meeting the owner/chef and his lovely wife. With his family fishing history of 200 years, I know he is committed to the very best. I don’t pretend to be an expert though I know quality. We brought my son with us tonight and his expression when having scallop nigiri delighted Chef Kazuma Yamasaki. We love their Fisherman Karaage which is a very unique style …Yamasaki fish and chips … and one of our go to dishes on every visit. Beyond that tonight we ordered the Premium Dinner Set, a Yamasaki Dinner set, and sweet shrimp. The fish melts in your mouth and is unlike any sashimi/sushi I have ever tried in the best possible way. You won’t find all the crazy cut rolls and sauces, though you will find all of their in house made sauces and soy sauce a perfect match for their fish. Sake, beer and sodas are available. We enjoyed talking with Chef Kazuma Yamasaki and acknowledged the distinctive freshness, varieties and quality of their fish. In speaking with his wife, Fumi Yamasaki, she shared a picture of their lovely family. The final delightful surprise of our meal was chocolate covered strawberries made by their daughter.Check out their hours and I highly recommend giving their amazing restaurant a try or a revisit. Perhaps tonight is the night after the Super Bowl!

Wow, this is one of those rare gems that you find! The restaurant is unpretentious, humble, and simply spectacular. The fish is fresh, tasty, and skillfully handled by the sushi chef. The rice also shows the mastery level of the chef. I highly recommend trying this place! Enjoy.

Stopped here for dinner on a business trip. The sushi here was incredible, the best I have had. I ordered the premium set and was blown away with everything. I especially enjoyed the Seabream, as I have never had that fish before. The sashimi was another highlight, all of the fish had excellent flavor. I will definitely return when I am in the area.

Fish sourced from Japan and prepared with impeccable attention to detail and presentation, this small sushi establishment is a gem. Deceitfully housed in a strip center off of Warner with modest signage, it's easy to miss this special place. We've dined here a few times and it never disappoints. From knowledgeable and welcoming staff to beautifully plated food, everything seems to come into the spotlight when dining here. The chef is truly a sushi master with impressive knifework and equally impressive flavor profiles.
