Didn’t know Great Dane, who’s baked goods were so delicious, was gone. On entering, the store was unattractively bare. Not a lot of product in the cases. Prices seemed high to me: $3.50 for a small, but very tasty, Danish; and $3.00 for a mediocre, decorated shortbread cookie. Unlikely I’d return.

Loved Great Dane & Butter + Cream is no different. Soft moist cakes and cupcakes, flaky buttery crossaints, crisp cookies and everything is decorated beautifully.
The google info page is outdated. The Huntington Beach location on Warner is no longer the Great Dane Baking Company. The sign frontage has been removed and the business that now occupies the space is named “Butter + Cream Bakery.” I bought two dozen cupcakes as a gift for first responders. The items were placed in generic plastic containers and placed in a plain paper bag. The presentation looked exactly like a grocery store purchase, which wholly defeats the purpose of attempting to convey thought and gratitude in a gift. Further the cupcakes tasted and looked inferior to products from Sprinkles or Frosted cupcakeries. I felt my $85.00 purchase was unappreciated by the staff and I recommend anyone wishing to purchase cupcakes go elsewhere.

The “take and bake” cookie dough are delicious and fun flavors with foolproof directions!! These tasty treats have become a quarantine favorite—yummy cookies with little clean up or having to search endlessly for all purpose flour.
