Ordered New York & Shrimp to-go, white rice w/vegetables adding Miso soup. White rice was the best part, don't get me wrong the food was good just not worth $45.14. The Teriyaki sauce tasted like it was made by a white guy trying too hard to cook Japanese food. The vegetables were cooked perfectly! I became a bit spoiled for Japanese food in HB from eating at Matsu (Beach & Talbert) since 1978, but this was okay food, I really can't complain much. I am wondering why at 7:30PM on a Wednesday night the dining room was a ghost town?!?It was the best Japanese food I've had on Beach Blvd. in HB for a long time. Matsu has gone downhill since it changed ownership in the 90's, but I think I found my new favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at in HB.I think I was happy with my food overall, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10. If the staff were a bit more friendly, I'd give you another point, let's see what happens the next time I visit this restaurant.Good job people. ?Parking: This restaurant is located in the old HB Fire Station across the street from Taco Bell, plenty of parking but would be better if it had a little bit more lighting.

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill. The food is not very good anymore and almost every item on the new menu is 30-50% higher. You can't serve a $60 bowl of rice in a plastic to go container. Hopefully the next place that comes here is better, because this place will fail.

Japanese Teppan-style restaurant in Huntington Beach (one block south of Beach + Warner). This is actually a local chain, with a total of 7 restaurants all over SoCal, from HB all the way north to downtown LA and Pomona. I actually discovered them through their food truck, which is known to be around major events in SoCal. Let me just start by saying that the food is great. The meat is high-quality --whether you go for NY Strip or filet--, and so is the salmon. I had the NY Strip bowl and it was very tender and tasty. I'm not sure going for the much more expensive filet mignon is worth the price. The pricing is a little perplexing, with sides being on the costly side. Also, there are surcharges if you want fried rice or Yakisoba noodles instead of white rice. And they're not small surcharges... Although not cheap, the Yakisoba noodles are excellent and wouldn't lose in comparison with what I've had in Japan. My wife had the grilled salmon, and she absolutely loved it. Service is good and relatively fast. Any faster and it wouldn't be that good. Service is good and corteous. All in all, a solid choice for this kind of food. It's not the cheapest (and if you know how much cheaper this food is in Japan you'd cringe. Of course, this isn't Habachihana's fault...

this used to be my all time favorite place until the prices were raised extremely. a single bowl went from $16 to over $22 in less than a year and the portions are still the same, quality is still the same, and service. i literally would order takeout every other week from this location but now i can't afford to come here to eat anymore. :(

This is a sad review to have to write as we used to enjoy eating here frequently..... But tonight, made an online order as usual got a confirmation number, receipt number, money came out of my account and my fiance shows up before 9:40 to pick up our order and doors are locked and they are claiming they never got our order..... talked to her through the door the whole time claiming they were closed.... Then why did we get an order confirmation and my money taken at 9:25. They told her they close at 9:45.... that's interesting as both yelp and Google business hours say 10:00 and even if it is 9:45 you confirmed the order and she showed up at 9:40..... Please see pictures as proof. It's not bad enough the place is overpriced already. But if you're going to charge damn near a $100.00 for some damn rice and Chicken you had best give the customer the order. Most unprofessional b.s I've dealt with at any eating establishment.....nothing but at this .

Love this place! Went with my bf on a Wednesday night and got the filet mignon plate and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Will recommend this place to all my family and friends! To top it off, their service was super quick, great, and the 2 gentleman that helped us both in the front and the back were super nice and sweet! Great customer service. 11/10 experienced, environment, and food!

First time here and let me tell you they didn't disappoint. Food was a 10/10 and gave a generous amount of food. Benihana who? Lol.. Service was great, they were very attentive. The restaurant's ambiance is peaceful and unhurried. Will definitely be coming again!!

I Am Here to Defend this food spot And what it's worth If you want cheap teriyaki bowls go home and make them yourself If you want cheaper food go to a fast food restaurant ( Panda Express,McDonald's,Jack In The Box ) This is a Sit Down Restaurant To the Staff.. Yall suck

I recently ate at this location in Huntington Beach and the food was great. Habachihana never dissapoints. I ate at the other locations in orange and anaheim and the food is always good. I see the comments here people complaining about the prices. Prices are high every where people. It's called inflation. Blame Biden, the guy you guys voted for, not the restaurant.

If i could give 0 stars i would!!! $35 for a plate of beef and rice the prices are outrageous!! And be careful with the screen at the end when you have to pay you have to really look for the "other" tip options because the minimum tip is 24% smh this place is money hungry very small portions stay way

I would not recommend Habachihana Grill. My husband & I used to go pick up delicious food from here often. Unfortunately, we recently ordered our usual chicken, vegetables, and rice, but the price went way up. The amount of food is still the same, but the price is not worth it. I would understand if we were ordering steaks at a fancy restaurant, but this is fast, casual dining.

This place used to be good. I don’t know if someone new took over. But with the new changed menu and increased prices for smaller portion sizes. It’s not worth the price. Might as well go to panda.
