Simply the best of the old school diners, nothing like it remains in OC. Still wish they never added the televisions :)Parking: Best guarantee is the beach parking, one street south from, and parallel to, PCH.

I love this place it's been so long since we came here. I was craving a delicious breakfast today so suggested Harbor House. What can I say, been coming here for like 20 years wow that's such a long time! It doesn't even feel like that long, this place is amazing. I love their corn beef hash and eggs, I always have them make it extra crispy, the hash browns extra crispy and I got a side of extra crispy bacon. I remember they used to have the home style potatoes if I remember correctly, but it's been a while since we have been here so sort of forgot. I also had a coke with grenadine so delicious. My husband ordered the Denver Omelette with cheese with hash browns and coffee. Was a nice brunch/lunch. Usually this place is always packed with lines out the door. Today it wasn't too busy maybe we came at the off time of day. The parking lot is small and is a little crazy when it is busy but I love that it's near Sunset Beach. I love coming down here such a beautiful drive and area. Our server was super friendly and helpful. Brought our drinks and food out quickly. I love the ambiance here with all the posters of old movies and the pictures of the movie stars on the walls, the lights too, they have posters hanging on the sealing's as well. Where we sat at the top part in the back area they have these old bingo games all over the walls to which I love. Nice that they haven't changed anything for the last 25 years. Still cool atmosphere I forever love. We usually always sit in the top area of the back of the restaurant so we can overlook everything and have a private sort of area which is nice. All the food here is delicious! I highly recommend this place if you haven't been here before. 5 stars for great service, delicious food, cool atmosphere and for being one of my favorite breakfast places to go for so many years! Thank you for always having delicious food and being consistent for so many years. Have a beautiful day :) Aloha

Well you should have been here prior to the pandemic. Harbor House was famous for large portions, extensive menu, good food, and most importantly, being open 24 hours a day. The new owners have killed all four and it's hard for locals to understand their interest in owning the historic diner that is now just a name. Really not sure why they couldn't keep the quality of the food up after axing half the menu but such is life. Gone are the crowded parking lots and long waiting lists to get a table because once people come here now, they rarely return. Luckily two other notable diners are in walking distance so they picked a bad time to hipsterize their menu and prices. But there is still hope for the embattled 2 locations, as business is so slow there's a chance they'll sell to someone who will restore Harbor House to their former glory. Until then we'll have to wait. Thankfully there's still great food at low prices in the neighborhood, just not 24 hours.

The breakfast menu seems redundant. This restaurant has been our go to for about 30 years. We see many items no longer listed. Lots of omelette choices but seem to be with the same repeated ingredients. We left with the sense that we won't be going out of our way to come back during our future California visits.

Great local cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The decor is a plethora of old movie posters, unique historical photos, beach, and surf props. Great for small groups or family's. The service was fast, the food is delicious, and nothing tasted frozen or precooked. Located right on PCH, parking is available, but limited. Carpooling or taxi services are recommended on weekends and during the summer months. It is a very popular restaurant, so waiting can occur. I was there on a Friday morning around 11am, and there was plenty of seating. There is an atm inside if you need cash for the day, but the restaurant takes all major payment methods. I'm not sure if they accept Google or Apple pay.Wheelchair accessibility: The front entrance on PCH is not wheelchair accessible. However, the rear entrance closer to N Pacific Ave is wheelchair accessible for ADA compliance.

Great little cafe to grab breakfast for dinner. The milk shakes are great. Fun place just to sit down and relax and wait for the day to begin or end.
