First of all, their cashew chicken salad sandwich on squaw bread is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Second, their Broasted chicken is super Moist and crispy (old school). The business is owned and ran by an older couple that really enjoy making good food. Very nice people. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

Had a great lunch at Huckleberry’s! It’s a nice locally owned restaurant, which has a lot of good looking options including sandwiches (hot and cold), salads, seafood, and chicken. We had two hot sandwiches (meatball and teriyaki steak), and both were excellent! The restaurant interior could be renovated a bit, but it was very clean and overall it was a great place to enjoy a meal.

I walked in because I saw this place on tick tock. It smelled amazing and I stood at the counter for 10 minutes as somebody swept and mopped and another guy was in the back. Looking my direction but not getting any communication. I don't like leaving a negative review. Smelled amazing, but the dish service of ignoring me really is frustrating. Maybe I'll try another time

Way over rated on Google - chicken was fine, but nothing special, below average even. Sandwiches looked like they might have been a better choice. Noisy staff shouting at each other, run down hole in the wall place in a strip mall. From the other ratings I had MUCH higher expectations - don’t get your hopes up for something special. Mediocre at best.

Been wanting to try this place and I finally went in today after finally driving by for months. I always judge every sandwich place with its Italian sandwich, and I'm happy to say that it was actually quite good! Very thick pickles, plenty of peperoncinos, and all-around high quality ingredients. If I could offer one suggestion, it would be to have different types of bread for the italian. Maybe a cheese bread or something. The owners themselves are the reason I'm leaving this review, because they were just complete sweethearts. I felt the love she put into my sandwich as she made it, and even though I ordered a medium, I felt like I got a large.Absolutely coming back to try out the rest of the sandwiches!!

Located across the parking lot of the Farmer's Market pyramid on Gothard Street (near the intersection of Gothard and Edinger in Huntington Beach), this is a small, family-owned restaurant specializing in sandwiches (hot and cold) and broasted chicken (a special cooking process combining pressure-frying and traditional shallow frying, to produce juicy fried chicken with a crispy outer layer). The chicken is VERY GOOD: crispy on the outside, juicy and very tasty on the inside. It's not as greasy as conventional deep-fried chicken, and therefore it's much easier on your stomach. You can get the chicken in combos (2-piece, 3-piece, 5-piece etc.), with or without sides (you get to pick 2) and a fountain drink. Or you can simply order as many pieces as you like a la carte. The potatoes were excellent: you get huge chunks (basically 2 per potato) that are crispy on the outside but soft as baked potatoes on the inside. Great idea, I loved it! We also tried one of their hot sandwiches, specifically the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich is 9" long, good size for a whole meal, and still a good size to share if you're also eating something else. Maybe it's not as out-of-the-world fantastic as John's Philly Grille (which I consider by far the best Philly Cheesesteak in Orange Co.), but it's not that far off. It's pretty simple: thinly-sliced ribeye steak, provolone cheese, onions, and mushrooms. Pretty much the original recipe, except maybe for the mushrooms (a concession to West Coast taste, maybe? Personally, I love mushrooms in a Philly Cheesesteak!) The service was excellent. The wait was about 15 minutes from order, which is very reasonable (if the food is too fast, chances are it's not that good...) Highly recommended.

While yes, the broasted chicken is amazing here, my personal favorite is their italian combo sandwiches. From the fresh ingredients to the soft and perfectly flaky bread, the sandwiches here and so much better than Lee’s Sandwiches, there’s a reason why Huckleberry’s has been around since the 70’s and featured in the papers! The atmosphere is so welcoming and they are always so grateful for your business. In all the years I’ve been coming here, they have not made a single mistake with any of my orders and always make my phone orders expeditiously. The portions are also immense too. I promise you won’t regret coming here.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp that leads right to the door.

My first time and the broasted chicken was absolutely delicious! I’m usually very thirsty after eating fried chicken but not at all thirsty after eating their amazing chicken. The potatoes were great too and I will definitely go back there soon!
