We will be going back! As far as value, try the Sunday 1/2 price sushi special. That's what we'll try next. Call to verify what hours on Sunday the 1/2 price special covers.
Been here several times, the restaurant is beautiful. The food is always good, everything i've ever ordered has been great. They have an outdoor bar area that is heated, the house spicy margarita is amazing!
This is orange countyβs best kept sushi secret. They are empty. The food is delicious. Be patient with the staff as they are always understaffed but the sushi is worth it!! Had the Kai roll for more sushi experience and the salmon garlic roll for something different. Loved both!!

Visit on a Saturday night, 745 reservations and this was my first time experience at the restaurant. Although the crowd was very light, my first thought of the restaurant was that it was very cold. I would suggest adding some warmth or more Asian flare to the front entrance and dining area. After that, we were seated in the sushi room and we're greeted by our waiter who was outstanding and don't know his name. Our meal was excellent and prepared exactly as it should have been and was extremely delicious. Overall outstanding experience and we will return. It's just the greeting areas seemed cold and not representative of Asian flair, but still a nine on a 10 scale.
I've been meaning to try Kai for a while. So happy my wife and I finally went. It was a quiet early Saturday dinner. We sat on the patio with the heat lamps. Nice atmosphere. The food was wonderful. We got a few different dishes, and all were good to great. Sami was super nice and attentive, but not hovering constantly. She made it a great experience.
We ordered a variety of food and shared them family style. Each dish was tasty and portion sizes were decent, even for the small plates. The one star deduction is because it would have been nice to have the plates cleared to make room for new orders since we accumulated a lot from ordering family style.
We went for our two year anniversary, about mid way through the fire alarms kept going off and it was insanely loud. It happened two times, I get that it's not directly the restaurants fault, but it felt like we were left to just sit through it, not offered anything and the place was pretty empty to feel unattended to. The time we came prior that was not the experience so it was a little disappointing.
The service was slow but there were only two servers on a Saturday night. The portions were small for the price and the sodas were not refillable which was not told to us from the beginning.

We took our family of 5 out for a birthday celebration and had a great time. The food was delicious and we had great service. Only one order was an upsell mistake, but otherwise everything else was perfect.

I was completely amazed by the exceptional quality and quanity of the food served. We were a party of 6 and everyone found the lunch exceptional. The restaurant only had a few patrents and this restaurant deserves our local support. You will be very please by this sushi restaurant.

Place closed at 9pm and I was able to make a reservation for 9pm. Called ahead to make sure it was open but no one answered. Their automated system said they closed at 11pm. I also had to pay $8 for parking for waisting my time
Kai Lounge had amazing food, amazing staff, and quite frankly would be a top-tier spot if there was more activity at the mall it is located in. In my honest opinion, the wagyu meatballs did not actually taste like wagyu since they were a bit overdone, and the beef plate had more rice than beef, which isn't what I'd expect from a place that had no other parties sat. Great otherwise.
Restaurant was empty, but service slow. No cleaning up between the courses. Food was ok. One of the people ordered a second drink, it never arrived. Probably will not be back.
