The food was outstanding, and the ambiance truly elevated the experience. The customer service was excellent — friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Our server, Andrew, made fantastic food recommendations that we absolutely loved. This is definitely the place to be for special events or celebrations.

King’s Fish House delivers a clean, casual-upscale seafood experience with professional service and properly prepared fried items. The food that arrived was crisp, well plated, and enjoyable.
That said, the value for money is where this visit fell short. Our total came to $43.97 for what amounted to a relatively small combo platter, tea, and a soda. Portion sizes felt modest for the price point, and the $4.75 charge for hot tea — essentially a single tea bag in hot water — was particularly difficult to justify.
When beverage pricing begins to feel disproportionate to what is served, it impacts the overall perception of value. The restaurant clearly knows how to execute food and maintain a pleasant atmosphere, but the current price-to-portion balance may leave value-minded diners feeling underwhelmed.
Final takeaway: Good execution and atmosphere, but pricing — especially on beverages — feels elevated relative to the portions delivered.

King’s Fish House offers a polished, casual-upscale dining environment with attentive presentation and properly prepared seafood. The fried selections were well executed with a crisp exterior and clean plating, and the table service maintained a professional, steady pace throughout the visit.
Where the experience became less compelling was in overall value relative to portion size. For a $43.97 total covering a combo platter, tea, and a soda, the meal felt modest in scale. In particular, the $4.75 charge for hot tea — essentially a single tea bag with hot water — stood out as disproportionately priced when compared with the quantity delivered.
The restaurant succeeds in atmosphere and competent kitchen execution; however, guests who are especially value-conscious may find the price-to-portion ratio slightly misaligned with expectations at this price point.
Refined verdict: A pleasant and professionally run seafood house best suited for diners prioritizing ambiance and consistency over maximum portion value.

King’s Fish House delivered a decent dining experience overall, but the value for the price left something to be desired. The food quality appeared solid — the fried items looked properly cooked and the presentation was clean and professional. However, portion sizes were noticeably small for what ended up being a $43.97 bill for essentially a light combo platter, bread, tea, and a soda.
What stood out most was the beverage pricing. Charging $4.75 for what is essentially a single tea bag in hot water (and similar pricing for soda) feels steep and out of alignment with the portion value of the meal itself. When the drinks feel nearly as premium-priced as the food components, it creates a perception gap in overall value.
Service and atmosphere appear standard casual-upscale seafood house quality, but from a pure cost-to-portion perspective — especially for someone mindful of budget and maximizing value — the experience lands in the middle tier rather than exceptional. Good food execution, but pricing vs. quantity keeps it from reaching a higher rating.
Bottom line: Tasty but pricey for the portion size. Best enjoyed when you’re prioritizing atmosphere and seafood quality over strict value.

King’s Fish House presents itself as a polished casual-upscale seafood restaurant, and to its credit, the food that arrived was competently prepared and neatly plated. The fried items were crisp and flavorful, and service was generally professional.
However, the value proposition is difficult to overlook. For a $43.97 total covering a modest combo platter, tea, and a soda, the portions felt notably small for the price point. Most striking was the $4.75 charge for hot tea — essentially a single tea bag in hot water — which came across as disproportionately expensive relative to what was served.
While the kitchen execution is solid and the atmosphere pleasant, the pricing structure feels misaligned with the quantity delivered. Diners focused on portion value may leave feeling underwhelmed, especially given the beverage pricing.
Bottom line: Competent seafood and a nice setting, but the portion-to-price ratio — particularly on beverages — needs reconsideration to match the restaurant’s otherwise polished presentation.

I've never had a bad experience at King's Fish House. I made a reservation with a few last minute changes and accommodations for my Dad's 79th birthday. And they did not disappoint. We got a seclude table for a large party. The food was delicious. Usually, I'm a steak or full protein entree type. This time I opted for the sushi platter, and it was more than enough food. The fish was fresh, no tell tale ocean smell.

We live in Huntington Beach but had never been the Kings fish. I was so excited to finally go and try it. The service was very good but the food was horrible. If I can leave less than a one star for the food I would. We eat fish in many restaurants and what we ate was extremely low quality fish. I was so disappointed because we tried a lot of things and everything was as bad as the other. It was a total waste of money.
