So sad that once this restaurant changed ownership, their quality went down and prices went up. This was our go to place but No longer. Egg rolls have some type of tasteless, mushy filling and we threw them out, can't order steamed rice on the side so have to order full meals. Food is dry, tasteless, and unfortunate. If anyone knows a good Chinese restaurant near Huntington Beach, please let us know.

This review is for the KUNG PAO CHICKEN and the nice employee. I've lived in the area for over 40 years and... um NEVER been here before! Not exactly sure how long it's been here. There were two Chinese restaurants I frequent and one has gone a little down hill AND is further away from my house and the other closed, so it's time to check out a replacement. I ordered Kung Pao cuz it's one of my husband's favorites and since we don't eat much anymore, we only needed one entree to share. IT WAS DELICIOUS AND HONESTLY THE BEST KING PAO I'VE EVER HAD!! It had the right amount of seasoning and was NOT overly salty. Like some, I'm fine with MSG, so I don't notice it. Also at $17 for one entree, which included enough rice for both of us, we ended up with THREE servings! We both ate it for dinner and I had enough to eat it again for lunch! The kid who helped me was in an exceptionally good mood cuz he had just got his driver's license. LOL I'll be back to try another entree soon!

Very good food and very big portions and very cheap. All the people very nice. And it's all way very clean inside. Would go if you haven't been there before!

I recently had a lunch at Kung Pao Bowl and had an outstanding experience. The service was top-notch, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was absolutely delicious; every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Moreover, the restaurant itself was impressively clean, creating a pleasant and inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend Kung Pao Bowl to anyone looking for delicious Chinese food.

The lunch specials at this gem of a spot are nothing short of a culinary heist, offering an unbeatable combination of affordability, quality, and the sheer richness of flavors that grace your plate. Beyond the incredible value, their soups are a delightful prelude to a symphony of tastes, each a masterpiece in its own right. The menu is a treasure trove of delights, brimming with choices that promise not just good, but exceptional fare at prices that won't break the bank. Step into this establishment and prepare to be whisked away on a tantalizing journey of Chinese cuisine that will leave your taste buds dancing in sheer joy.

My husband lives for Kung Pao chicken. He says it was pretty tasty. He also lives for Jesus so he tells the truth.

Finally! I have found my favorite Chinese restaurant since Peking Wok in Cerritos closed! If I could give six stars I would! This place is fire! First of all the nice server offered me a free soup. So awesome! Secondly, because I was seeing pics on Yelp of their Hot Braised Beef from six years ago but not seeing it on the current menu, I kindly asked if it was possible to make the dish. I love love love hot braised. The server asked and they prepared it for me. It was divine! So so good! The texture of every dish was on point! Kung Pao Chicken was served without too much sauce (I prefer it just as they did it, not too "wet.") The Shrimp Chow Mein noodles were toothsome perfection! They had a nice chew to them and weren't mushy as many chow mein dishes can be. They even offer fried rice as a free side instead of just steamed! I'm excited to work my way through the menu! (Bbq Spareribs, I'm looking at you!)

Summary: delicious food, reasonable pricing, cozy dining space, friendly staff, easy parking My go-to favorites at this place are the Mongolian beef, always tender and full of flavor, and the hot and sour soup. A regular-sized Mongolian beef (not the lunch special) is generously portioned, easily feeding two people, especially when paired with their surprisingly soft and delicious brown rice. While the hot and sour soup is appropriately sour, it lacks the expected heat due to the absence of white pepper. During a recent order, I ordered a lunch special with Mongolian beef through the online system, which indicated I could choose a soup and an appetizer from a list including options like egg drop, hot and sour, egg rolls, and cream cheese wontons. I opted for hot and sour soup with cream cheese wontons. However, upon pickup, I received egg drop soup and an egg roll. I am not sure if that might be a default for lunch specials or if the system menu is outdated. So I deducted one star for this.

This was our go to place for Chinese food. Not sure if they change the owner or chef, the food did not tase the same as before.... It was not good!! We ordered our usual dishes, Kung Pao Chicken and beef with broccoli, curry fish, chicken chow mien. All of their dishes had very little to no flavor and oily. The chow mien was so bad that was not edible. We throw away all of dishes after a bites.
