Wanted to try something new so my father and I stopped here after work. Considering the current prices of meat and the quality of food, the prices are good. I got the carne asada burrito, there was no questioning the meat was quality and the seasoning was great. My father got the carnitas burrito, hands down the best carnitas I've had date. Between the great service and even better food I know I'll be back as soon as I can

AUTHENTIC??? 2 burritos, an order of taquitos (no guacamole)= $37.00 I am somewhat okay with price if they were half good. Asked if there was salsa in the bag, rude lady said yes. Got home & there was 1 tiny salsa for the taquitos. Went back for more salsa and she said "Let me tell you something". She went on to say that it costs her money to give sides and that the burritos already had salsa in them. They did not have salsa and that's actually besides the point. She indicated she would do ME the favor and give me extra salsa. No thank you! I walked away with no salsa and used what i had in my fridge after she flipped up the outdoor window screen saying that the menu is very clear. Incredibly rude....... I wish I would have read the review from Michele and others before ordering. Those of you who have decent reviews? 3-5 Stars? Are you kidding me? I'm sorry you have not experienced delicious Authentic Mexican Food, try Trejo's on Beach Blvd. For the folks that are giving generous reviews (owners)? Just stop. The food is not good and the price is ridiculous.....Close down already and someone bring back Bun & Burger....

What a disappointment! First, the prices are outrageous. We got taquitos with beans, 2 ground beef tacos and a cheese quesadilla for a whopping $37. The taquitos were totally flavorless and do not include guacamole. Never seen that before. The beans were so hot they burned my tongue but didn't seem to have much flavor. The meat inside was like overcooked or something and mushy. The quesadilla for $10 was boring. Del Taco does better and the tacos were over cooked and tasted old. My daughter started vomiting after eating them. First and last time wasting my money here. My dog seems to like it so I guess she's getting an expensive dinner tonight.

This is one of my favorite places to eat, i've tried many many different places and this is by far my favorite. The food is amazing and the owner Maria is super nice, personable and friendly, she does a great job. Like i've said i have tried many different Mexican places and every time i compare it to La Bonanza....the salsa is incredible (one of my favorite salsas i've had) not to mention the quality and taste of the other ingredients. Needless to say please do yourself a favor and try her awesome food!

Delicious food and great customer service. I believe in quality over quantity and La Bonanza definitely does deliver very good good.

I believe the owner is the one who cooks, meaning 1 person for order/payment/cook so you will wait about 20-30min for your food... that's if it's only you making an order because when we got here... no soul but ours She's not very friendly, needs to make you feel more welcomed because I even told her to give me a minute because it was our first time here and menu is small and we had our doubts! We decided to give it a chance and while waiting in the car?! I tell my husband "I hope food is good!" Oks so we got our food: supreme nachos and carne asada chimichanga . Not bad, I mean it's edible!! Guacamole is fresh and lots of it !!! That's the best part, the nacho chips are so crunchy!! Real fresh!! Lots and lots of beans on my nachos, I wish it was carne asada instead of hamburger meat! You don't need salsa because the jalapeños are just spicy enough I like this place after being hungover lol

Delicious homemade Mexican cuisine. I love this place and the owner, Mariah, is wonderful. My boyfriend and I came down from Fresno for a concert and wanted some SoCal Mexican food before the show, and this place happened to be near our AirBNB. What a gem! Mariah cares a lot about her business and made sure to tell us what sets La Bonanza apart; the food is made fresh for every order, and she cares about her customers' satisfaction. I ordered the carne asada tacos and my boyfriend had the carne asada burrito, and the food and service was so good that we had to came back the next morning for some truly awesome chorizo breakfast burritos. She also had fresh guava agua fresca, from her own tree! It was sweet and refreshing, and goes perfectly with her food. The salsa IS spicy, of course (and delicious), so if you're not into spice just let Mariah know and she will accommodate you. We'll definitely be back next time we're down south!

I don't wanna give any stars for this place! Me and my husband both ordered breakfast burritos. I had the one with no meat and he had the bacon. I took a bit and right away I noticed "unique" flavors. I took another bite with curiosity...ewwww.....is that fish sauce I asked myself while chewing. It was like fish sauce with old grease and old canned potatoes. It was SO bad!! I looked at my husband and had a disgusted look on his face. He looked at me and said let's go! At that point I knew he was tasting what I did, which he confirmed in the car. We were so disgusted about the flavors we just couldn't believe someone could sell (for $10 a piece mind u) this to other people and be ok with doing so!! How do you f*** up a breakfast burrito like that? On top of that my husband said the lady there was not nice and seemed like he was bugging her when we approached the window. Something needs to change there because we saw no pride or effort and it was just DISGUSTING!! MY recommendation is to STAY AWAY!

This place is by far the best authentic Mexican food in Huntington Beach! I've been searching for good Mexican food since moving nearby and have been disappointed up until this point. The taquitos were amazing. The chips and salsa were hand made and SO good. Highly recommend.

The food was excellent; the owner Mariah was rude. I simply asked if the retried beans included lard because my wife does not like it. Instead of a simple yes or no, I received condescension. I wasn't rude in my question, I simply asked a question to help decide what I wanted to order. I asked one other question and she told me the answer was on the menu. Which it was not. Then after a brief conversation she asked about my religious beliefs which I refused to answer. But she pressed on. In the end, the food was very good but I won't tolerate being treated like this. There are plenty of other good restaurants that I will give my money and be treated with common courtesy. Other reviewers discuss how nice Mariah is. I suppose she needs to figure out why she treats some customers so well and others not so much

Purchases 3 pork tamales with green sauce and 3 beef with red sauce. The masa was decent but the filling was super dry and no sauce was even evident. Was super disappointed especially as they were over 3 bucks each.

Came to this Mexican little hole in the wall look kind of cute so I'll give it a try I saw that the regular tacos were 299 per taco soft taco ask the lady if the tacos were good for 299 she tells me inflation is going up and I said OK she was kind of rude and gave bad customer service I need to replace her because in the front of the window it says looking to replace our cashier must be Spanish and the food is not worth the money please visit McFadden and Beach Boulevard there's a little taco stand there that gives great customer service tacos are affordable prices and they don't charge you for extra condiments or salt like this place does...
