Indulging in the flavors of this family-owned Thai gem is an experience you won't soon forget! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly prepared dishes. Their commitment to freshness is evident in every bite – whether you're diving into their delectable sushi rolls or savoring the succulent garlic and pepper steak. One of the highlights of dining here is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that comes with a family-owned establishment. You can feel the passion and dedication in every dish, as if each one is crafted with love and care. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that leaves you craving for more.Their sushi selection is truly outstanding, with each roll bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. And when it comes to their garlic and pepper steak, prepare for a symphony of tastes that dance on your palate – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, this Thai restaurant never disappoints. So if you're craving fresh, flavorful cuisine served with a side of familial warmth,Kid-friendliness: It’s not the best kid restaurant, but they are very accommodating for kids aswell.

Noone was at Sushi bar either!Tried to support local business but didn't see how we could recommend! Sorry ?

My husband and I been regulars since the day they opened. We ordered the $39 sashimi platter fit for 2 people, I was taken back when they bring out only 1 miso soup, ridiculous, if anything as regulars bring 2 it’s the cheapest item on the menu and actual cost for them can’t be more than a dime. I did say something and ordered 1 more only to be treated aggressively. Miso soup is complimentary at Sushi on Fire and Shabu on fire. No thanks, never returning. What happened to local appreciation as regulars

I own my mistakes and one major mistake that I've made over the past year+ is that I failed to stop into Mahkin Thai & Sushi despite walking by the restaurant at least 3 times per week. Sushi on Fire has always been the go-to sushi restaurant for my husband and I for years and while the food is good, the service is OK. Now fast forward to today when we decided to go to Mahkin instead of Sushi on Fire. WOW. WOW!!! The quality of the food was exceptional - fresh, beautifully prepared, and simply delicious. The service - second to none! Thoughtful, friendly, professional, accommodating (I'm vegan) - I simply cannot emphasize enough how sincere the Mahkin team was and truly, they are a team.My husband ordered the 911 Fire Roll, yellow tail, etc., and I had the most sensational tofu, chili, and basil entree. The restaurant was superbly clean and the vibe was welcoming and friendly - the Huntington Beach way.Mahkin quickly earned our loyalty moving forward. Only regret is that we didn't venture into Mahkin earlier.

Neat place to have food if you're in the area. It's a Thai and sushi combo place- yes both. With two separate menu you can choice from. Had a chance to dry pad see euu, sushi dish, Tom yum, papaya salad and all tasted fine. If you're looking for an authentic place this is not it. If you're looking for a mild flavor easy to eat for everyone's taste bud this is the place to go!It's small so get there early or plan to wait a bit. The service was really fast and the staff can turn a table very quickly. In term of parking there is a parking structure right across or street parking alongside. A lot of options.

4 1/2 stars rounded to five per Doodoo head. Personally, I'm giving them five out of five. Holy cow! We've been meaning to try this place for quite some time, and after a craving for some Thai food. We finally came by. We ordered the special of the day- papaya salad with raw blue crab, beef, drunken noodle, and a Tom Yum soup with tofu. After the salad alone, we were pleasantly full and wish we had only ordered that plus desert since the menu looked outstanding. The noodles in the drunken noodle were perfectly cooked, and the broth in the Tom Yum soup was so flavorful. They tagteam the service here, so your water cup stays full. The place is small, but when we went, it was full, yet people were in and out, so the wait was not insane at all. Will definitely be back.

I can see why this place has 4.5 stars. Mahkin feels like that spot where if you go often enough, they know your name and make you feel at home. Not to mention the food was out of this world! My boyfriend is a Thai Food connoisseur and thinks this place has some of the best Thai food and flavors. We ordered the Pad Thai and Panang Curry. As a lil treat for our first time visit, we also ordered the HB Sunrise Roll and some garlic edamame which hit the spot. The fish was fresh and we saw they have some really good lunch specials!
