It's just ok. Other than the Dutch baby, nothing special. Changes to the menu post pandemic include; ingredients, portions, selection, and price. It's worth a visit if you're nearby but not to go out of the way.

The food was delicious! Service was pretty fast, but getting a table on a Sunday at 11am took 30 minutes. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations.

The service is horrible. One lady kept getting the orders wrong and claimed the kitchen is closed and my teammate did not get her pancake that she ordered and she said too bad.

this is the best restaurant for breakfast in Southern California. The omelettes are huge!! they're round. the pancakes are to die for.... I recommend going to the original pancake house for breakfast. you will not be disappointed. you get big portions for the price. let's just say it's way cheaper than IHOP and the food taste way better.....

If you're searching for a delightful breakfast spot in Huntington Beach, look no further than The Original Pancake House. Known for their mouthwatering 49er flapjacks, this cozy eatery is a must-visit for pancake enthusiasts. The 49er flapjacks steal the show with their perfect balance of gooeyness and flavor. Each bite is a heavenly experience, leaving you craving for more. Pair them with a side of their delicious bacon for a breakfast combination that satisfies every taste bud. However, be prepared to arrive early, especially on weekends, as this popular spot tends to fill up quickly. But trust me, the wait is worth it. The ambiance is welcoming, and the service is friendly, adding to the overall dining experience. In conclusion, if you're in the mood for exceptional pancakes and good bacon, make sure to stop by The Original Pancake House in Huntington Beach. Your taste buds will thank you.Kid-friendliness: We have twins as does the owner and they understood our needs when they wheee babies. They are 10 now

Eat here regulaly....consistently good and service always friendly. Applewood bacon is the best around. Great to have a patio option for eating too.
The food is good and the service is pretty good. The place can be extremely loud when it is full. Sitting outside, on the patio, is usually the best option for a quieter breakfast.Parking: There are lots of spots nearby, including disabled parking.Kid-friendliness: This place is loud, no matter who is there. If the building is busy, it is loud.Wheelchair accessibility: They have disabled parking close by, and double door entry.
The place is very busy but they are quick to seat you and take your order. Music is playing and sometimes a bit loud. The food is amazing. I love ordering their bacon extra crispy, but not burnt. The Dutch baby is very good, but will cause your order to take longer since it bakes in the oven. They do give you a decent portion for the prices, except a side of bacon is$7.50 and a large glass of milk is $3.99. We will definitely be back as the bacon and Dutch baby are yummy. Was sad though that they don't offer the chorizo omelette like the Anaheim location.

The wait was long, but the food and service were fantastic. The decor inside is also really cute. We had a party of 9 and ordered a big array of dishes including the eggs Michael, eggs Benedict, fried potatoes, chocolate chip potatoes, bacon and eggs, buttermilk pancakes, and potato pancakes. The potato pancakes were bland and generic, but everything else was really delicious! The portions are quite large, so a few of us shared meals and were more than satisfied. I would definitely go back again when I'm in the area in the future.
