I must have been given the stale batch. All of the meat on my platter were overly marinaded and chalky. No exaggeration! All of the meats on the platter, beef and chicken.Fresh food doesn't only mean freshly cooked. It also means freshly prepared.Sad! I was so hopeful based on the reviews.

Literally, my favorite place to eat. I'm sad that I only recently discovered this gem of a restaurant. Bobby and Soheila are fantastic people. I'd recommend the hummus, best ever. Also, ask about their stews. Their fesenjān will change your life. No hyperbole here, try it.

This isn't your garden-variety "Mediterranean" or "Middle Eastern" restaurant. Sure, you can order your kabob or falafel, but this is really an authentic Persian restaurant. Now, Persian cuisine is not like Arab cuisine (unlike what unfortunately too many people in America seem to think, Persians aren't Arabs...) It has its distinctive flavors and uses spices that are often different than those used in other Middle Eastern cuisines. I'm definitely a fan, and I'm telling you that while there are hundreds of "generic" Middle Eastern restaurants in Orange Co., finding a Persian restaurant just isn't as easy. This is very much a "mom&pop" place, where the food is prepared with love and pride. And it won't disappoint you. In fact, it's quite spectacular. I suggest you try the Borani and the Tadig as appetizers. The former is mashed eggplants cooked with grilled onions, mint, and whey. Fantastic flavor! The latter is crispy rice from the bottom of the rice pot, plain or accompanied by a delicious chicken stew. As for entrees, you can't really go wrong with anything on the menu. The service was extremely corteous and reasonably fast (it's not a fast food restaurant, so don't expect your order to be served after 3 minutes...) Prices are very reasonable. The "lunch specials" are probably the best deals. Highly recommended.

Excellent food quality and flavor. I love this place. Expect your food to take long because they are grilling it from scratch. The older gentleman is a sweetheart. This will be my go to place whenever I am in town.

My family and I have been ordering the "family meal for 4" here for years. it's normally round $50 and I tip $8 even though it's a take out order. Today I ordered it and it was missing the salad (my favorite part because I don't eat carbs). She told me they no longer give the salad with the meal. I pulled up the web site and it CLEARLY stated the salad was included. She said the web site was "under construction" even though it didn't say that. I felt it was a bait and switch she could of told me when I order my meal. Unfortunately, my family and I will not be returning. It was false advertising! If you do order a meal here check and make sure you are getting everything they say you are paying for.... it's sad for me writing this review because I liked this place but I hate cheats.

Amazing local restaurant, I had the chance to have a very genuine conversations with the owners. This place deserves to be known by the whole neighborhood. I will be back soon.

They refuse service to you if you don't make a big order.I have ordered a few times in the past and it was okay before, but the one time I was craving some items, I waltzed in there excited hoping to be greeted as they had done the first time I came there. That was not the case. I asked to place an order. The lady said " Ok. What would you like?" I proceed to state what I wanted. And she seemed iffy and hesitant. So, not having a mind of her own, she turned to the man and asked if that was something that could be done, the man who I previously had thought was friendly, didn't look at me and responds to her, making a horrible scowl look on his face. Whether it was directed at her it was obviously about me and my choices. She then turned to me and said something along the lines of "I'm sorry, we have a big order and are short on staff." Whether that was the case or not, why even ask me what I wanted? And what was with the terrible look on their faces?I felt really unwelcomed and they obviously don't value my business. Not to mention their food is overpriced with small portions and the price they charge you is a few dollars more than what they display on their menu/yelp. Good luck. There are plenty of other restaurants that have better tasting dishes and plates that are reasonably priced and give you fair portions.I left feeling rejected and wondering if I looked like a hobo or something that they would outright refuse service to me or if they were just discriminatory. It's pretty bad because they didn't suggest anything else to me. It was simply no we won't make anything for you, please leave.
