I reserved a standard table but they wouldnt give us one. I have an injured ankle that is obvious because it is all bandaged and they said we would have to hurry and eat because they had other reservations an hour and a half after ours for the standard tables. SO by the time I left I was swollen more. Also they put us right by a spot where they stuck a man singing and playing guitar about 30 min after we got there. We could barely talk anymore because it was loud. And the man was vaping which I dont like around me. Food is very expensive for what they give you.
Excellent food, vibe, and service. The server even brought me the most delicious fried ice cream dessert for birthday!

The place is always poppin but the brews are overpriced and the Mexican food is quite possibly the worst I’ve had at a restaurant even though it looks good, tortilla was dry and the sauce was too overpowering to taste anything. The only saving grace was the side of chips lol. Service also took awhile

honestly, the food and service were super good & so was my drink. I was surprised because mostly downtown HB is crappy bar food for drunk people with no fine dining experience but sandbar truly pleasantly surprised me. The only downside was.. I got Norovirus after visiting here (but probably because it was around crowded Fourth of July time)
A looooooot of people move through this bar but for good reason. Dance floor was going off and vibes were good.

We were very disappointed in the hostess/manager at Sandbar...we were a group of four with reservations at 5:45 with standard seating and were seated at high tops....asked if we could move to booth....the restaurant was half full and tons of booths open and were told NO! Then three people can and were seated at the booth behind us etc.... There were two booths empty the whole time. Won't return.... I rather spend my money and time at a restaurant that values me and my friends. Emma was great, five stars to her!

Unacceptable Service – A Ruined Memory and No Accountability
I had a truly upsetting experience at Sandbar Huntington Beach that I feel compelled to share. While the food was good, the service was shockingly poor — and it completely overshadowed the meal.
A runner spilled salsa all over my hair and top, completely ruining a special item I had bought while traveling abroad. My hair was red everywhere and smelly. My Italian top was wet and stained. It wasn’t just clothing — it was a meaningful souvenir tied to a memory with my mom, and now it's gone.
What makes this worse is that I was sitting still — I still can't comprehend how salsa ended up on the top of my head and clothes. There was little apology until I brought it up.
This level of carelessness and lack of customer service is not acceptable for any restaurant, let alone one in such a busy, well-known location. Serious improvement is needed in both staff training and guest care.
