Food was delicious. Limited seating so we did wait about 20 mins to be seated. Servers were excellent.

I came here yesterday 8/15/25. We got a table in the back immediately, the food came out in record time, and it tasted alright, but I’m 95% sure I got food poisoning from here. Two hours after eating, I found myself losing my breakfast in two trash cans on the beach on the way to the bathroom. It was my first day in town of three. I’m still queasy, and very upset. I had the sunshine breakfast (eggs, toast, sub fruit). I’ll update if it somehow ends up being something else.
Also while he cleared plates, a waiter left a pot of very hot coffee on the table next to my toddler nephew. Thank goodness we were able to stop him from touching it. But it just feels like common sense was lacking.
A small walk from the beach. Nice outdoor seating. Very small inside.

Amazing breakfast!! We had an omelette and aeal with pancakes and both were fantastic!! They served a hot sauce from Red Beards that complemented the omelette perfectly and bought some online afterwards!! When we're back in Huntington Beach, we'll definitely make another stop at the Sugar Shack!

I love my first visit here won't be my last I got the eggs Benedict. The owner is super nice and the grandkids are the one serving the coffee . Funny fact is some of the dishes are named after the grandchildren.

Came to visit from Las Vegas. We came in on 8/6/25 around noon. Went too sit in the back of the business. Ordered the 1 egg,French toast with bacon breakfast . My dad ordered the same. He asked “bacon crispy “. It didn’t come out like he ordered crispy. Disappointing immediately.
Food was “plain Jane”. That one egg that comes with the order was small & sad. Should at least come with 2eggs. Food menu was underwhelming.
Waitress never
Refilled our water again. The water & crushed ice was great.
She seemed she was wasn’t into her tables she was waiting on.
Lots of flies in the back of the area we were dining at. Was disappointed
Overall with the food, service & experience.
Would not return even though this restaurant was highly rated and lots of people in the front of the building.
Restroom was clean, doors need to be wiped down of dirty hands on door though.
Thank you for reading my review.
Eat before going too the city.

Food was very good and came out at a very decent time for a big group. Only complaint was that they took excessively long to deliver a single extra pancake (at the time where everyone was about to leave), and the service was a tiny bit (though understandably) grumpy, but the place looks super nice and had fair prices.

Pleasant al fresco dining just a few blocks from the fresh ocean breeze.
Quick service, attentive staff, and most importantly, when the sun started to get hot, they had a retractable green awning by the back area.
Tip: instead of waiting for a table by the front or inside, ask to be seated in the back patio area where there is little to no wait.

I hate not to give this place a five-star, just trying to be honest. Breakfast burrito had the meat in one end and all the guacamola on the other end, sloppy for sure. One very small restroom for all employees and customers. Waitresses looked lost and uncertain what exactly to do. It appeared to me that only one person was allowed to take orders and cash you out, making the wait time very long. My visit was on a Thursday morning around 11:30 AM. Overall, all Waitresses looked to be unhappy and not much to say. Very bad vibes!
