My first time trying it. Please don't let my review of my one and only experience with this place take away from your positive experience. Perhaps I was unlucky or my taste and judgement is not what yours is. I just moved to the area and wanted to support my local businesses. At first I was skeptical about a non Chinese name Sullivans as it sounds more like an Irish bar. I also like to dine in for the most accurate judgement of a restaurant's food, the vibe, the atmosphere and the service instead of take out. So we dined in. We went in during a very quiet hour, between lunch and dinner time, around 4pm. The place was completely empty, no one dining in. No one coming in to pick up food, just me and my girlfriend. So I figured this is a great time to be at a restaurant to get undivided service and cooks are not overworked. Maybe they'll put a little more love into my dishes than usual or when they're totally busy and rushed. I like to judge or get a good first impression of a place by ordering a popular dish like orange chicken and fried rice. So that's what I ordered. The dishes came out hot which was great! So far so good. Orange chicken was dry, tasted old, outdated, not fresh. The house fried rice was filled with nothing but corn! Kernels of corn after corn. It was like I ordered a corn dish that had a bit of white rice. It didn't look like fried rice at all! We also ordered the spring rolls appetizer and that was the best dish we had. I'm so sorry Sullivans Chinese Restaurant but I gave you a good honest and easy to please opportunity to satisfy my appetite, but I don't believe I'd ever be interested in coming back. The waiter didn't even ask if everything tasted ok, or if we've been here before, didn't ask how if your day, or even good afternoon. I'm bummed cause it would have been the most convenient, closest Chinese food to my house.

yummmmmmm! It's a pretty small dining room in a busy shopping center & easy to miss. You'd never expect a Chinese food restaurant to be called "Sullivan" but this place is the real deal. The food was fresh & hot. The veggies were perfectly cooked, seasoned, & crispy. The meat was tender & flavorful. The won ton soup was amazing, full of chicken, shrimp, pork, wontons, & some veggies. The owner is warm & inviting. They were celebrating their 15th anniversary when we went there and had some bonus tasty treats to share with customers & send you home with a bunch. My favorite was a deep fried egglant. The owner said it's hard to make & not on the regular menu. What a treat! We've had great Chinese food at the San Gabriel Valley & it was nice to find a place just as good down here.

This time we tried the Onion Pancake and it was amazing! It simply has a sprinkle of green onions, so nothing overwhelming. It's nice and light almost like a Roti. In fact it reminds me of the Roti at an old place I used to go to called Flat Tops. We also got a side dish of sliced BBQ Pork. I liked it but my wife didn't care for it. They sauteed it in a sauce and sprinkled sesame seeds on top. As usual we got the excellent trio of dumplings... XLB, Pork Dumplings in red chili sauce, and Wonton Soup. We didn't feel the need for any other dishes nor any rice of any kind. It was a great meal!

Came here this weekend with my mom when we walked in we got greeted by the sweetest lady with the best welcoming! We ordered take out, and got chicken chop suey, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, vegetable chow mein, sautéed green beans, vegetable fried rice, white rice, onion pancake, and wonton soup with they made without beef and shrimp upon request. The chicken for the orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken was great quality chicken, cooked perfectly, and flavors are beyond delicious with yummy crunchiness on the smaller pieces. The chop suey chicken also great quality chicken that tastes healthy with fresh flavors and veggies and even better wrapped up in the onion pancake. String beans were fresh hearty green beans with delicious garlic flavor. The chow mein noodles were cooked to perfection with also fresh veggies and great flavor. Fried rice was fluffy and flavorful with fresh good size veggies and egg. The wonton soup had wontons that tasted homemade with more fresh veggies and delicious broth that wasn't oily or fatty. Last but not least the beautiful tray of fruit they gave us for dessert that consist of grapes, pineapples, apples, watermelon, and Asian pears. Can't say enough good things about this place we've been looking for good authentic Chinese food for a while and finally found it!

Wow!!!! Would have never found this Chinese restaurant without a recommendation. It's based on Shanghainese cuisine and is fantastic. It's a small owned restaurant and everything is cooked fresh to order. It comes out family style too. The owner is amazing and if she's there, she will bring out a plate of fruit at the end of the meal.

The food here is great and the staff is super friendly. We ordered the spicy eggplant, garlic shrimp, and orange chicken. I'm really impressed with the orange chicken. It was tender, the sauce is just right -not overpowering or gooey, but most of all the cut of chicken was top notch- I'm guessing chicken breast. There were no fatty or gristle bits.

This is the first time we ate at this restaurant, and I was so pleased with not only the food but also the service. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The chef came out to discuss the dishes with us because I was so impressed about the spicy wonton dish and the soup dumplings. Also, You have to try The spicy prawn dish made with garlic sauce, it was so fresh and savory. You can tell that chief cares about the food she prepares And puts a lot of soul in her cooking.

Favorite Chinese Restaurant must order walnut shrimp, salt & pepper fish, Mongolian beef, garlic prawns. Don't forget fresh onion pancakes. We order so often, we get free fruit! Take out for pick up is quick & convenient! !

The food was ok but the prices are ridiculous….. way over priced! Ordered Chicken Lo Mei and Sweet and Sour Chicken for $40.00 and that was it! I guess they don’t give out any fortune cookies anymore…. Good thing I made my own white rice at home….. I wouldn’t recommend this place, I’m sure we can find a place that is good with reasonable prices…..

I don't understand the good reviews - got sesame chicken for takeout and it was so awful I assumed there was some kind of mistake, so for the first time in my life I took my takeout back to the restaurant. I asked for pork fried rice instead and it's at least edible, but perhaps the worst I've had from a restaurant. I love Chinese food and get it regularly as an indulgence, but this was just a big disappointment. And it's pricey: $18 for fried rice? Or $18 for a chicken dish but it comes with nothing but the chicken - no rice and not even any broccoli or peppers or anything in it. Definitely will not go back.
