I had Tabu Shabu saved for a long time because I wanted to try it and I'm so glad I did. My husband and I came here on a Friday night and our server Kathy's customer service was just amazing. She was very attentive and super friendly. The food was so good!! My husband isn't really a big fan of shabu but he loved this place and thought it was so good! Our first time here was 10/10. The food, the service, and the vibes were just on point. We love the owner Dana! Kathy, Everest, Ray and all of the other people that work there were so nice! We will definitely be back!

Food was great! Really like the location and restaurant. Staff was very accommodating. When you are asked if you want one or more drops of the hot sauce - be careful! It's very spicy. One drop is plenty for me and I really like spicy food.

So glad this place is near by!!! My go to shabu spot! The veggies were nice and fresh they don't cheap out on the portions and the meat was soooo good.

The servers are attentive and friendly, and the place was super clean. I ordered the spicy miso and angus ribeye, each meal comes with a lot of vegetables. I recommend the pork broth, it had much more depth and flavor than the spicy miso. I also tried the prime level ribeye which was the best out of all the meats, it was very tender. As for their sauces, the ponzu is very citrusy and good, but their goma sauce was way too thick and tasted like plain peanut butter. Our meal was 20% off since it was a Monday (from 5-6pm), it was a total of $84 for 3 people which isn't bad. However, I don't think it's entirely worth it if it wasn't 20% off. All in all, it's a decent shabu place.

Best bang for your buck in the harbor. Service is great..food is great! It's not the place for a quiet romantic dinner. But it's a great place for a fun party! And if you like salmon sashimi, they have some of the best salmon!

Kind of loud, social experience. But the food, drinks, and service are fantastic.

I can't believe I never knew Tabu Shabu was right next to the Trader Joe's I always go to, and my favorite pizza spot!! My cousin and I had dinner at Tabu for the first time and it was by far our best Shabu experience. Excellent service. You're allowed to substitute any veggies you don't like, with veggies that you do like! They even offer healthier/low carb options as well! You can mix your broth base. I opted for half spicy miso and half tonkotsu so that my broth wouldn't be too spicy! They even offer marinade for your meat! We had dinner at around 5:30pm when they offer 20% off entree during M-F 5-6pm happy hour! As well as drink specials, but I'm unsure of what they are as we didn't drink. Highly recommend Tabu and I will definitely be back!

This is my favorite Tabu location and it is right near my house. It's one of my favorite casual non-AYCE shabu places to eat at during the weekdays. They offer 20% off all entrees Monday-Friday from 5-6pm. Their meat quality are always really good. They offer grassfed ribeye and sushi grade salmon. And you can even have it marinated with garlic and sesame oil if you like. Oh and if you are a health nut like me they even have shirataki noodles as a noodle option. At the end you can ask for porridge as well. Service is always good. Sometimes it gets super busy and there's a little bit of a wait but it's worth it.
