Their vegetarian sushis are on point. Very creative and taste like real sushi

SOOO Good. I wish I had room to try more. Vegan sushi is hard to come by- this was great vegan sushi! The coco herb using soup with added black garlic was amazing too.

Service A+++

Highly recommend.

This place is great. The fish is always fresh and the staff is excellent!

Packed with flavour and freshness! It’s a small place so we always do takeaway, but it’s the first sushi place I always recommend. It never misses 😋

Excellent vegan restaurant!! Would recommend this whether or not you are vegan! GREAT sushi at reasonable prices!

I found about Tama from an IG page, Rated V. She was not wrong when she said they have amazing vegan sushi! They also had a whole page of different vegan dishes, including udon noodles, salads, soups and rice bowls. But what really stood out was the sushi- really eclectic flavors and options. You definitely need to check them out. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-15

Everything was delicious! I had vegan ramen and sushi!

I like that this place has full vegan and non-vegan menus. I visited with a non-vegan who was curious to try some vegan items but also had the comfort of being able to still eat meat. I got shishito tempura, three rolls (squid game, taiga, mango tango), and it came with complimentary miso soup. Loved the diversity of vegan offerings. Will definitely return!

After waiting 30 or so minutes for my bowl of ramen, I cannot in good conscience give this place a high rating.

The food is superb, from the hand roll I had and the ramen, but there are two faults here that I need to point out. One - my mom and I came in before two other parties, yet they had all their orders out before ours and they ordered the same amount we did. One actually closed out and left before our main course was served. 🤦‍♂️

Second, the timeline between my hand roll and the half-hour for my bowl of ramen to come out is too much. I don’t know how this place prioritizes their clients and flow, but it’s good practice to serve food on a first come first served basis and not what’s convenient for the kitchen. We literally ordered three dishes, but as stated above - both parties finished their meals and checked out and we arrived here way before them.

For the record we ordered one bowl of ramen, a hand roll and a sushi roll so it’s nothing complicated, yet being put on the back burner made me feel extremely awkward and unwelcome. I understand that it’s a fine balance running a restaurant, but at the end of the day - you’re in the hospitality business and simply having good tasting food is inadequate.

TL;DR - hospitality is lacking, but the food was good. Would avoid if you’re on a lunch break and/or a short timeline.

I enjoyed the raw sushi, which was very fresh, but otherwise I found the food to be good but not great.

Tama has a dedicated vegan menu that made it easy to order. The friend that took me is not vegan and a huge fan of sushi so she definitely wanted non-vegan sushi and this was the perfect spot for us to both have lots of options we wanted. There were so many vegan choices I was honestly overwhelmed since I’m not used to having many choices. I got the vegan rainbow which was delicious (loved the sauces), green milk tea with soy milk, and we got complimentary miso soup. The server was super nice and I liked the outdoor seating options too! Would highly recommend for vegans and non-vegans!

A new favorite. Service on point and the food excellent. Gluten free and vegan options too. Their fresh wasabi and in-house ginger really sets them apart from the others. Already recommended to family and friends.

We drive from Riverside county to go to Tama. Each time we make the trek the food, service and atmosphere never disappoint. Making reservations is helpful but unless you have a big group you'll almost always get a seat. Their non-vegan menu options are EXTENSIVE but the reason we make the journey is that we love the inventiveness and the flavors of their vegan sushi. So creative. We love Tama.
