Nice, cozy cafe. The coffee can be pretty hit or miss. I usually order espresso drinks and sometimes they come out quite bad like this cappuccino.

EXCELLENT SERVICE ! My wife and I decided to try this cafe for lunch on Sunday after our walk around a nearby nature reserve. It's situated inside a quaint old world shopping village. We parked our wheels and then walked around the shops looking for this cafe. At around 2pm we found it and went inside. VERY CUTE ! The interior had a nice comforting look with a few Middle Eastern accents and we could see yummy food in the display case...such as Borek. A friendly cashier named Ayla helped me at the cashier desk when I ordered our lunch....2 x Flat Whites with hazelnut syrup ( Torani ), 1 x Turkish Spinach Borek and 1 x Turkish Feta Cheese Borek. There were a number of dessert choices inside the display cabinet but I thought we eat some solid food first and see how we felt. It wasn't real busy when we first arrived but all of a sudden more and more people were dropping in for coffees. Ayla made our Flat Whites and placed them on the service counter for me to collect. QUITE GOOD ! Our flat whites were well made by baristas Ayla.....they had a nice robust flavor ! After a few minutes Ayla had warmed up our Boreks and they were ready to eat. DELICIOUS ! We shared half of each one and both were delicious. DESSERT ! I saw the tray of Baklava on the cashier counter when I ordered...I love it so I ordered one and a Creme Brulee Bar for my wife. My fresh made Baklava tasted fabulous. On the other hand my wife's Creme Brûlée Bar was too firm....it needed to be served at room temperature. Overall we were very happy with our lunch visit here !

Love the atmosphere of this place. You can tell they are very into coffee with all the coffee antiques they have hanging all over. I do appreciate that they serve you in cups like in the picture shown. Almost seems like all coffee places are turning to paper cups. Does have Wi-Fi and outlets are provided. The service was quick and efficient. It's located in a nice little place called old world so you do get that little town feel. Overall would definitely stay here for an hour or two and just sit on my computer again.

This is a great place to grab a cup of coffee. If you have the time to sit down and enjoy your coffee I would really recommend it. They also serve great pastries. Their lemon bars and their baklava are very delicious. You can also order a great cup of Turkish coffee and you get a Turkish delight with it. I really enjoy coming to this spot whenever I am around the area. Don't miss stopping by when you come to Old World or Bella Terra.

Great menu options! I ordered the Turkish Coffee. It was good with the perfect level of sweetness as my preference. Great prices. The staff did a great job explaining the menu to first-timers. Quiet location. Great for studying, reading, or catching up with friends. Cannot recommend enough. Both the food and beverages are top-notch!

This was "Turkish coffee" search day. This location is inside Old World Village, more towards the parking lot in the direction of the street. It is definitely Turkish designed and just an intimate vibe. Many people were already coming here as it seems to be a local favorite. I sat and enjoyed an expresso sized shot of their Turkish coffee and Baklava. Everytime I want to try something else, the places always say "try with Baklava it's good"! What's funny is I am not a fan of Baklava but I have had 2 of the best I've ever tried, here at Coffee Tale and the other at Canaan Coffee on Bushard and Warner. The Turkish Coffee here had more grinds at the end, but it still woke me up. And after, it's always a nice stroll around Old World Village, it reminds me of a time we have lost to our society nowadays. Like, being back in our parents' days of old. It is a nostalgia of a place. Prices were good.

Used to come here all the time to study and get caffeinated. But my latest visit will be the last. I was so excited to use my birthday coupon for $4 off, but when I showed it to the barista she said it was expired. I showed her the date and the expiration on the email was clearly stated as January 9, 2024. She still refused to accept my birthday coupon, sent to me on December 10, 2023 by The Coffee Tale itself.Call me old-fashioned or persnickety, but when a business lures you in under the premise of a discount only to refuse to honor its own promotion... we call that a shady business practice. The old bait and switch.Keep penny pinching, rationing your wifi, and cutting costs everywhere you can The Coffee Tale. Y'all are clearly on your way out.

This used to be a cafe that I would drive an hour to go to when I used to live in Rosemead. But the last time I went, the girl baristas were super rude. After I ordered, I had gone outside to take a phone call. The call took a long while and I forgot about my drink. They threw it away and were upset when I came in to get it. And then resentfully made me another one. Who does that? I'm literally standing outside! 15 feet away. Just let me know it's ready instead of throwing it out. You're a small family owned cafe. My entire family owns businesses and it's to your advantage to have some courtesy. Sometimes people come to your place because you provide a unique atmosphere. I mean--you're not necessarily easy to find. Now I live a mile away and I'm too disappointed to return. But def needed to get this off my chest. I hope the staff is now nicer.

Me and the husband met up for a coffee date where the condescending barista had the nerve to flirt and ask my husband if i was his sister and when he said No she didnt even apologized. Just glanced over at me with an attitude. I was really upset with the situation, terrible service.

My better half and I came to enjoy a nice cup of latte and this place hit every note. As coffee connoisseurs, we're a bit particular about our lattes, and this place has a nice selection. We got the caramel latte and the dirty chai The Caramel Latte was absolutely perfect with the right ratio of milk, espresso and caramel. The ambience is super cute old town Turkish vibes. With a Mediterranean type seating and lounge chairs the coffee tables complement the environment for a nice card game and coffee vibe. The gal up front is super sweet and has the best recommendations! A must try for anyone looking for a great cup of warm deliciousness.
