My husband and I are on vacation and we wanted a good breakfast and coffee. We found this place on yelp. The staff were all super friendly, attentive and helpful. The vibe was vibing. And the food was SO good. I got the steak and eggs and was drooling over how good it was. The honey cinnamon latte is the best coffee I’ve ever had. We ended up coming back again the next day because we didn’t want to try somewhere new and not love it as much as The Local Nod. I got the avocado toast with my egg on the side & shared the French press coffee. Honestly could not recommend this place enough. I never leave reviews but it felt wrong not to after two flawless experiences!

So this is only my second time here, but what I will say is 1, service is great, the team is friendly and personable, not robotic, the wait, even when busy is relatively fast, and the food is fantastic! Love this place and will come back over and over!

Great friendly staff, great food. I got the steak and eggs one time and MM MM MMMM SO GOOD AND TASTY! 😩 Today I got the chili omelette, rocked my socks off… and I liked those socks! Doni V, you are the BEE’S KNEES!!!

Last time we were there the food and service was poor.

Came here on a Sunday at 10am. No wait and the staff was VERY fast and friendly. Food options are great, and executed VERY well. I was going to give it 4 stars because their espresso machine was out. But the staff more than made up for that. I was kind of surprised there was no wait. But the location is in an odd spot in that Target Plaza. If this was in a more obvious spot this place would have an hour wait all weekend mornings.

Came here on a Saturday around 1pm as my dog was getting groomed in the area. I ordered the pancake trio, a breakfast plate and a Vietnamese coffee. The pancake trio was great! And their bacon is amazing! The service was good, prices are fair and it wasn’t too crowded. I would definitely come back.

Went there for a lunch with friends. I'd heard they had decent food and cocktails. Ordered the espresso martini and basically got a cold coffee with milk and a splash of vodka in a regular glass. Definitely not a martini. The bloody Mary was tomato juice and a splash of vodka - no garnish, pepper, tabasco or anything else. The food was just ok. We ordered the tacos, chilaquiles and breakfast burrito. Server and the rest of the staff were extremely nice. But the rest of the experience not as spectacular as I had expected.

During my recent visit to Local Nod Cafe, I encountered a significant lapse in service. Although I arrived before other guests, my order was delayed, and despite making eye contact with the server, Amanda, she proceeded to assist other tables first. As a result, other patrons received their meals while my order had yet to be taken, which left me feeling overlooked as a customer. This was super disappointing because we traveled specifically to HB for this experience.

Tried it out because of the reviews.
And completely overrated.
We had to let the kitchen know there were missing items listed on the menu that were missing on our plates .

The food was lukewarm/cold, the taste was very bland and boring.
Super misleading.
