Cool bar but be careful of the guy behind the bar with the bad emo haircut, this poor guy was seemingly having a bad day. I'm not sure if he was drunk, high, or depressed but a few buddies of mine came in for our first time and this dude literally threw our IDs back at us across the counter. He was tipped poorly due to his attitude and he still had the balls to tell us that we should learn how to tip properly. Not sure if this is someone's son or something but he was eyeing us the rest of the night and just came across as a very weird person to be around. That type of energy is a poor representation of any business, and considering how chill everyone else seemed to be it was definitely easy to notice.

The owner Bob and all of the employees are absolutely Dynamite Jeri, Snow, Jamie and Kyle are all excellent bartenders that will give you friendly service with a smile. I bartend and love a good dive bar! This place is so cute with their saltwater aquariums and pool tables. Who could ask for more? Well.. Kyle will give you more. Great service, beautiful smile and gorgeous spirit. He will make your heart smile. Get a beer from Kyle, it will be blessed from the kiss of gods and no hangover the next day. It's trippy and real. I spilled my drink by accident and asked the bartender if he would replace as a courtesy. Not only did he say no but said why should he, it wasn't his fault! Very rude and obnoxious. Quite a pompous ass actually for a dive bar. Whatever, what goes around comes around. Anyway, I would stay away from this place.

I have been driving by this bar back and forth for 38 years! I was always wondering what was behind the vines! Looked it up 1.5 years ago (wont go into details) and seemed like a cool dive Tiki bar! Sent my daughters and friends to check it out! They came back with negativity from the bartenders to the patrons.. Wont go into details.. But not good for daughters and friends as they had to leave quickly! Sucked indeed! So I decided to check it out myself for the first time on 11/10/23 (on a long ride from HB)! Very intimidating to go into a long live local small bar by myself! Went in and stood next to a guy that looked at me and paused, then I looked at the bartender and she paused, but gave me a huge smile! Then the dude next to me started talking to me and was way cool! This amazing bartender named Snow, was the best human possible! She was so real and accommodating from the start! This gal is a gem and she is the reason I will be spreading the news for my family to come back! I havent been to a bar like this due to intimidation (or a bar for 10 years), but let me tell you, never judge a book by its cover, never judge people, never judge a bar by reviews and give everyone a second chance! Long live TURCS!! ;-)

My favorite bar in all of Sunset Beach. The bartenders, particularly Jamie, Snow and Jerri are fantastic and always take such good care of you. Also, the proximity to the beach cannot be matched. Highly recommend.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is an absolute horrible place. Service was horrible. Whoever was the bar back on 6/30 was rude and possibly the worst customer service we have ever received. I would highly recommend staying away from this place. They were cussing at us and being extremely rude. I could go on and on about how ridiculous this place is. Bottom line....stay away!!

Cool bar but there was an issue with the tab. The bartender tried to charge us for multiple drinks that we didn't order. The bar back and bartender then proceeded to tell us if we can't afford the tab it's our problem. The bar back called us "wack" multiple times after that.
