Rented beach chairs and an umbrella. Other than purchasing selling the equipment, this company offers no other customer service ... you will have to carry chairs and umbrella yourself. No instructions on how to plant the umbrella which would have been helpful. (Public beach thing I guess) Furthermore, the other reviews are correct...the cashier is not friendly and gives off racist vibes...like they are more than willing to take the money but gives off abrasive energy as if they really don't want to serve people of color. So if you are a person of good will and high vibes, do more research and find other rental companies that are more welcoming or better yet, get a day pass at one of the resorts and get full service.

Bigots like this think they can treat people badly just because we’re not white. But we’re not going to stay silent. I went to Zack’s Rentals in Huntington Beach with my daughter, and we were met with hostility and disrespect. The way we were spoken to — compared to how white customers were treated was disgusting. Let me be clear - racism is alive here, and it shows. And I refuse to support a business that makes people of color feel unwelcome, unsafe, or lesser. If you believe in basic human decency, take your money elsewhere.

We rented a Surrey bike from them as a walk up. We had our three daughters with us and they were very accommodating. Even gave our girls a special treat! Our two youngest had a blast waving and saying hi to everyone on the boardwalk. Great way to spend 1hr enjoying the weather, beach and family bonding.

Went to rent an e-bike for a couple hours, ended up using it the whole day thanks to the guy that worked there telling us how to ride all the way down to Newport Jetty and back. And he put us in touch with a great surf lesson company. E-bikes were an absolute blast and the guy that helped us was so great. Highly recommend!

Zack’s was a 10/10 experience! Specifically, Mike Ali. Mike went out of his way to help us know what to rent, joked with us and told us about the “California life.” He treated us like humans, not just customers! We have been talking about Mike ever since our experience with him yesterday, and recommend him & Zack’s to anyone going to Huntington Beach!

If you want to be a patron to a local business who is owned by an American Veteran and his family, if you want to be treated like a family member, eat amazing food and enjoy an excellent rental shop, go to Zack's. I would travel out of my way to go to Zack's. I left there after renting my family of 6 bicycles, honored to patronize this business. Will definitely go many, many more times. Good People!

Went there and the owner took my unused napkins before I threw them away, they were sitting on my food as well as some floss I used so they were obviously still dirty. It was so disgusting they need to have a health inspector in there asap.
Went to the food shack a few days ago and the prices were really unreasonable for the food. We all got food poisoning, all 6 of us. When throwing away our food a worker took used napkins off our plate that looked decent to probably reuse them. ZOO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

Amazing this place takes care of you like family, they set us up with everything we needed for the beach, it was like a family owned all inclusive resort Ali and Joe set us up with wet suits, boogies boards, surf boards, sun screen, towels, food, and all the information we needed to have a wonderfully time, the food was so good as well, loved the cheese burger and nachos. WE HAD A MEMORY FOR A LIFETIME!!!

Stopped by Zack’s Surf Shop for a quick meal after a beach stroll with my dog, and it was a fantastic experience. The outdoor seating is spacious and welcoming, perfect for enjoying the ocean breeze while keeping my furry friend by my side. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. I ordered the fish and chips, which were hot, crispy, and delicious—exactly what you’d hope for at a beachside spot. My dog appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and the attention from the staff. It’s great to find a place where both humans and dogs can enjoy a meal together. Highly recommend Zack’s for anyone looking to dine with their pup in Huntington Beach!

Brought my mother-in-law to the beach and had a blast with a rental wheelchair with air tires. She can hardly walk but with this chair she felt like she was running. Wish I could remember the guys name I dealt with, he was awesome! Made her day at the beach the best!
