Ate breakfast here yesterday with my son. I had the pancake platter and my son had the breakfast burrito. Food is delicious & customer service is amazing. I would definitely recommend and will be back. 10/10 for me. :)

We tried the chilaquiles and burger with fries and it was all so delicious. The staff was very kind and were quick to seat us and take our order. Robert was always checking up on us, which we greatly appreciated!

First off make sure to park in the public lot to avoid going around in circles.

I found this spot when I was looking for a place to take my sister to eat. When we saw the menu we were excited and it didn’t disappoint.

We decided to do breakfast today and go back for lunch next time.

The place was clean and the customer service was excellent.

Our food was freshly prepared and so delicious.
My waffle was crispy outside and fluffy inside with a buttery flavor. My potatoes were seasoned well with actual seasoning not just salt and oil. The eggs were cooked well too.

I seriously had a great breakfast.

Her avocado toast looked great and she said all the ingredients tasted fresh and ripe without being mushy and the bread had a great texture and wasn’t affected by the moisture of the vegetables.

We 100% are coming back. You should also try it out, totally recommended.

We came to eat here today, the food was amazing, the food is soul food mix with Mexican food from Jalisco, we got the chicken and waffle, and the pancake combo, the chicken was the most crispy chicken we have ever tasted,, the waffle were so soft, the special homemade sauce complete the meal all together, the pancakes were so fluffy and thick, we got served by Robert/Norma, Robert was so sweet, respectful, he always checked up on us. Robert also told that restaurant was Norma dream and the whole family came together to make it happen. Norma is the amazing cook behind the wonderful food, her skill are top tier.We went at 10 am and we were able to find parking but they have a parking structure in the back of the restaurant behide Rita ave, for those who can’t find street parking.

Waited 45 minutes for 1 breakfast bacon burrito that I ordered to go. Got home and the tortilla wasn't even cooked all the way through and neither was the bacon. Wanted to support a local spot in Huntington Park but I will not be coming back here

Always spotted this place when I’m in the area and decided to try it. The food took me by surprise. I had the chicken and waffle plate, the chicken and was nice and crunchy and juicy. This place is very hidden and located near the post office of HP. A true hidden place this cafe is. The service was wonderful! Always checking up on us if we were fine and if the food was good. Highly recommend!

My experience with The Neighborhood Cafe was underwhelming due to a hiccup in their opening time. Eager to try their breakfast, I arrived right at the posted 9 am opening time only to find the doors still locked and no sign of life inside. Without any notice or posted sign explaining the situation, I was left to wonder when or if they would open.

This modest, unassuming eatery pleasantly surprised both me & my impossible-to-please Boomer dad. It was a new place for us so we ordered the basics without any expectations. He ordered the Chilaquiles and I the Pancake Combo. Folks, everything about our experience exceeded our expectations. My dad's chilaquiles prompted praise and a smile from a man who rarely does neither. The sauce was clearly homemade & perfectly seasoned. The tortilla chips had a hint of crunch. The refried beans were light & creamy, freshly smashed. No cheese topper required for flavor enhancement! My pancakes, eggs & sausage were average. However, those potatoes were what my little heart craved, perfectly seasoned, slightly browned on one side & soft & potatoey on the other with a sprinkle of fresh green onion slivers. The colorful staff was attentive & welcoming. Even the old-school salsa playing in the background seemed to cater to our fancy. I will return to this place again & again until I've tried all items on their menu.
