“Been a while since I’ve been in California and I stopped here wanting to remind myself what good Mexican food taste like. The quesadillas were great and my friend got their burrito, these guys and gal can cook their butts off. I had to order 3 pastor tacos to go just so I could have some of their cooking later.“

“Do not judge the place by how it looks. The food is excellent. Literally home style tasting food. Cannot say enough great things on how delicious the food was. The only issue I have with this place is how HOT it is inside. Geez Luiz it was freaking hot inside. Be prepared to sweat. That is the only negative I have about this place.

“This is a great stop for travelers who are looking for a quick bite to eat and are passing through. El Rancho Café is located next to the post office at the four way stop for Mount Whitney and the 145. It is family owned. The people are friendly and the food was delicious. In the time I was there people were coming and going. They have both sit-down dining and takeout available. Weekend travelers beware: they are only open M-F from 7-2:30.“

“I don’t want to talk about the bathrooms or anything but omg. There is a grill inside here with Mexican food. Baja Fresh. BEST.BURRITO.EVER. I pulled in here while traveling thinking I would just grab subway bc I’m hungry but was wishing I had enough time to get “real food.” Saw the Mexican food grill and decided not to judge it by its surroundings (the grill itself is really clean, and the lady was even wearing a hair net). Anyway, I got the ultimo burrito with pork carnitas. They grilled it for me right then and there- carnitas vegetables and rice a popped it in a tortilla and grilled the outside. SO GOOD. Vegetables cooked just right. Carnitas tasted like it was slow roasted and then marinated. Seasoned perfectly. It was huge but so delicious I ate the whole thing and haven’t even thrown away the wrapping yet - needed to write this review first, it was that good.“
