Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. I was super hungry and left hungry... Absolutely terrible pizza (super oily) and green salad which is not fresh (at all!). It's offensive to receive such food on the table, it's not eatable 🤦♀️

We had an absolutely beautiful romantic evening celebrating our anniversary and being on vacation. We arrived early for the happy hour, before our reservation. To our pleasant surprise, they let us know happy hour applied to the whole restaurant and seated us upstairs right away. Our waiter, Spiros made our evening absolutely magical! He was attentive, delightful, and gave helpful suggestions. The mountain Bourbon cocktail was our favorite. Katie, the bartender, came upstairs to describe it further and answer any questions we had! The HH was a great deal and delicious. I especially loved the burrata, pizza, and lentil soup. We ordered the affogato for dessert, which they comped for us and gave us a card wishing us a happy anniversary. To finish off the evening, Spiros found us a seat in the bar to listen to the live jazz music from 6-9pm on Tuesdays, which was exquisite! Can't say enough about the staff and atmosphere; it was a class act, start to finish! Can't wait to come back when we return to Idylwild!

Wonderful cocktails. Everything from the olives and breadstick starter to the antipasti, the primi, secondi, the sides were all fabulous. The one thing that wasn’t up to the standard of the rest was the bread accompanying the clams in wine, but that was the only slight disappointment since everything else was spectacularly good!m
I had the clams in wine to start, followed by the sausage with peppers (fantastic) and then the mortadella and pistachio pizzq.

Beautiful quaint restaurant. Server was awesome and accommodating. Unfortunately, the pasta was VERY undercooked and the vegetables as well were hard. If you go here and order pasta, make sure to request them to cook it longer.

Went there Feb 28th with my girlfriend , it was absolutely amazing for our date night. We usually choose to stay in and cook on our date nights but I'm glad we chose to splurge and make the hour drive to ferro. The atmosphere is as good as the food. We will 100% come back eventually. The only issue we had, was such a small issue but the waitress forgot to refill my water twice but other than that she was great.

A major glitch with our reservation did not override the excellent food! Cacio de pepe pasta, the Caesar salad is the absolute best WITH extra anchovies. . . The happy hour prices and portions can't be beat! You won't be sorry with this place

We go to Idyllwild monthly to meet friends for a late lunch at Ferro, always our favorite! I have enjoyed several items from the menu, especially Tiramisu!! (We are often so eager to eat, we forget to take food pics, but yesterday I did remember to snap my delicious spaghetti & meatballs.) I also took a pic of some interesting cocktails to show my son, who is a bartender.

Food was good. I had the pork chop with creamy polenta, very good. My wife had the pizza and said it wasn't bad. Im glad I went with the pork chop. The service was good, staff very friendly and kind. Very small intimate setting but it was a cute date night.

I didn’t expect to find this level of Italian food in Idyllwild. The flavors, authenticity, and atmosphere were so amazing. The chef coming out to check on us was extremely touching. Shoutout to Laura for also being so kind and warm. I came here with my elderly mother all the way from Orange County, but we would gladly go again. I had to ask my son how to write this review for me, because I wanted to give a genuine review without ChatGPT. That's how good this restaurant was to me. Thank you for the amazing food and experience, Ferro.

Service was amazing. Enjoyed our food. I think it would be a good idea for them to offer Santa Claus blankets outdoor seating in the winter.  every time we've come there has been Music on Saturday night and there was not this time but I guess maybe that was because it was cold weather
