I was going to say that these are the best burgers in Imperial Beach, but that doesn't go nearly far enough, these are in the top burgers in San Diego, period. I wait until I've been to a place at least 3 times before leaving a review and it's so nice to leave a 5-star review when it's so we'll earned. I've eaten there and I've taken them home and they nail the same rating every time. My favorite burger is Al's burger exactly at it comes. They offer 1/4 lbs and 1/2 lbs burgers and they nail the temperature, every time, I order them medium rare. Their staff is so attentive, welcoming and in the best mood and it's infectious. The shakes are absolutely delicious as well. I've only had a few of their burgers and shakes, so I'll be happy to review again when I'm able to order something other than their delicious burgers, it might never happen. Keep up the amazing work!Parking: There is plenty of free parking in the lot.
Always bought food via delivery service, but this time went in to grab. Both ways food is delicious. I love their Bacon Swiss Burger and the chicken sandwich. The fries are really good, they have these crunchy bits on them. It is a perfect crunchy yet soft fry. It is a great local spot and will continue to go!

Cozy joint with delicious food. The service was 10/10. The owner even invited me to get myself a free drink from their fridge. The burger was juicy and delicious. I would have preferred my meat around medium well or medium rare but still it was really good. The milkshake was perfectly balanced, not too sweet. I'll definitely be back to try the other menu items. Btw my food was made to order and it tasted great.

Came in today & ordered lemon pepper wings & was so disappointed. The guy who made my wings did not season them AT ALL. I attached a photo for proof, there's literally one SPECK of seasoning on each wing. By the time I got home I was so mad. They tasted like I ordered plain wings. Don't let this guy be in charge of seasoning ever again please! I'm not sure what his motive was but they were awful.

My wife and I went to eat here and were not disappointed at all. Staff was super friendly and food was delicious. Portions are a good size, establishment is very clean and their products taste fresh and seasoned. On the day we went it was not packed, however, we noticed that they receive a lot of doordash or ubereats. We really liked the food and overall service and will definitely be going back.

This place rocks! Everything we have had here has been freshly made & great tasting I am a huge fan of this salad and will probably eat it every time I come here! We sat in last time and were also given some Deep Fried Mac & Cheese Bites & they were a hit as well! Alex is great! Very professional and super polite. Always goes above and beyond. Thank you for a great experience as good food now a days is hard to find!

We frequently visit Al’s at least once a week. The food is great and the service is phenomenal. Price is great too, low cost and it all keeps us going back. Mimi is awesome!!! Great service and makes great food. If you’re into plain burgers make sure to order the Isabelle special! 10 out of 10

Tried this while spotting it when driving by and glad I tried it. Pretty decent burger and fries. Looks very photo worthy which I was happy to see when it was brought out to me. Only thing was the patty was dry, but the flavors were good. Great bun and good cheese presence, bacon was crunchy, and bbq sauce was nice. Fries were fresh and crispy.

Im a local and had been wanting to eat from here for a while now just off the smell alone when I walk by, so I recently picked up a meal from here and thought I'd share my thoughts. We went in and it wasn't busy, chill midweek day, there was one woman working there at the time I went in. She was very polite and took our order and she let us know the approximate wait time which was maybe 10-15, TBH I don't remember exactly but it was around that much of a wait, which is beyond reasonable considering it was just her in the shop at that time, I'd hate a rushed mess. When it came down to the food, it was delicious. Juicy burger patty, crispy onion rings, beautiful fries; I did ask for her to go lighter on the sauces and she was more than happy to help and she definitely delivered me MY type of burger, everything was also seasoned very well, we did get some sauces on the side which went well with rings and fries. We didn't eat for about 15-20minutes from pickup, we did let it sit in the microwave for a bit and its fries and rings were still crispy. Overall, will eat from here again, it was a great to pay for this place.
