My wife & I are making our 1st visit to Imperial Beach. This is by far our favorite restaurant. My wife got the coconut shrimp. I got the Volcan burger. Both were great. I ordered my burger rare. To my surprise, I got it rare. Ordered large onion rings. Should have ordered small. The large was enough to feed a family of 4. They were great though & only $9. We will be back & highly recommend. Cute Hawaiian atmosphere.

We had the shrimp appetizer was delicious sprinkled with coconut. My husband had a bacon swish mushroom burger, and I had the mocha Loco Hawaiian breakfast something like that but don’t drink the Pepsi. It is horrible. It’s too sweet. Doesn’t have enough water. It was awful. Stay away from the Pepsi.

The Chicken Teriyaki with white rice and pineapple was DELICIOUS!!! The atmosphere is fun and the service was quick and curtious!!

They do have a tasty burger and a super friendly staff as well.
I wanted a grilled bbq chicken plate as I usually see in Hawaiian restaurants, but the server said they removed it from their menus (sad). Instead I ordered a loco moco. I'm used to eating loco mocks with a full out beef patty, but seems they mashed the ground beef and mixed into the gravy. So did I get a full beef patty? Couldn't be sure. Rice scoops seem to be ¼ cup size, so 3 scoops not necessarily the usual 1 cup of rice. Nevertheless, everything was tasty and satisfying. I do like how the macaroni salad had boiled eggs chopped into it. Finding the location was convenient after our Coronado bike ride.

Had the pulled pork sandwich, it cost 16.50 and came by itself. One of the worst pulled pork sandwiches I've ever had. It was just the bun, fatty pork and a miniscule amount of bbq sauce. The onion rings were burnt and weren't in the shape of rings. Just the terrible quality of food for the price was outrageous. Definitely won't be going back.
