Brigantine Seafood & Oyster Bar

our waiter Matt I believe was his name was perfect. We ordered swordfish tacos which were REALLY delicious...clam chowder & oysters on half shell with horseradish & cocktail sauce which were best we'd had in a long while. Highly recommend. They also delighted us with a LARGE complimentary piece of mud pie cuz it was my hubby;'s bday. That was to die for !! Thankyou Brigantine Imperial Beach for a delightful experience

Our experience was superb! Food was amazing! So impressed with the delicious crab cake! And, we loved that our waiter made sure we celebrated our dear friend's birthday with a special ice cream treat at the end of our fabulous dining experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Excellent service & food was well prepared as well! Luv the Spinach salad here & clam chowder is excellent as well hubby had the sword fish tacos also really good! Wasn't a fan of the coconut shrimp appetizer. Used to be better ! It's now flat & too breaded. Loved the old style on a stick. More shrimp less flat bread! Lastly love the indoor decor but the outside tables and chairs look cheap & ruin the brig vibe. Just my two cents! Overall great experience!

Made last minute reservations and glad we did as it was very busy. This was my birthday dinner with my little family so wanted to make sure it went well. The place was very loud, took awhile for things but the meal was perfect! I had the oysters rock which were superb, and then the shrimp and grits which really just hit the spot! Hubs got the pokey tacos app and the lobster quesadilla and he said they were great too.

You can't get much better than taco Tuesday & Happy Hour combined. The Brig fish taco is amazing, not judging if you get it with Ranch dressing but I take it off. The basket of fries served 3 with some left & was piping hot. Our server was Jackie, always gets the order right & is quick to check back throughout the meal. 10/10 for the Brig margarita, thanks Esteban! We come every week & also catch lunch with friends.

The food was really, shockingly, bad. I was surprised. Specifically the calamari and rib eye steak. I hate to sound catty, but the truth of it is that the steak was slightly better than a breakfast steak at Waffle House. Great location, nice waiter, good ambience. I'm just saying this so brigantine can do better.

Food was delicious. Large portions! Rather a cold and sterile environment. If you're looking for ambience this isn't it! Loud. Good place for a beer and quick bite.

First time to this location. It is now my favorite Brig. Excellent and very friendly service. Food was great. Nothing to do with the restaurant but parking is a nightmare of sorts. Friday night at 6:30pm in IB near the beach is tough. Great experience at the Brig which never disappoints.

We each got different dinners and all were very good! Staff was very polite and responsive, and we enjoyed the reggae music 😎

I thought the food was excellent and the service was good. However, I was unhappy with their reservation policy. We booked way in advance, and requested a table outside in the front of the restaurant. As we walked up to the hostess it appeared that our table was ready and waiting for us but in the next few seconds , our table was given to someone else. We were given an unsuitable table outside facing a wall with a screeching door almost hitting me every time it opened.

Food was fine, octopus too chewy. Service was good although super busy and too loud for conversation

The chairs n tables height ratio was odd . I'm not tall but the table was too low for my chair. The entire table was super sticky. We love The Brig n go often to other locations

I've been a fan of Briantine fish tacos for years- primarily at the Del Mar location (outside of Fair and Racing seasons, lol). I was meeting friends for lunch: one who lives in Imperial Beach 1 Bay Park- me in Carlsbad. It is a smaller location than Del Mar- but right across the street from the IB plexi surfboard sculpture, the beach and the Ocean. I had a passionfruit spicy margarita. We made a rsvp for noon and sat on the patio out front. The wait staff was great, the food was great, and it was not too warm. Since I live and work around North County- I often pass by IB on my way to the Border and CBX and think about how I used to visit often- because I was a chamber rep for my organization at the time. Last Friday the space and this old school beach city reminded me of summers as a teen. It even smelled like summer. I totally enjoyed everything about the lunch ! As is my habit- I totally forgot to take pics of the food and drink- but trust me- it was perfect!

The IB Brig was great, as always ! The fish tacos were delicious, the NY steak perfectly cooked. Beers were icy cold. Service was on point. What more do you want ? One of our family's go to restaurants, the Brigantine never disappoints !
