So fun, glad we stumbled onto this place. After a walk on the Coronado beach, we decided to head south to IB. We checked out the menu on Google, as soon as I saw ossobuco taco I was sold. Parking in the lot by the restaurant was 2 bucks, score! It's a cash lot only FYI, and the lot was pretty dead despite the beach and boardwalk being full of people on a Friday evening. The restaurant is mostly outdoors, and they have upper patio seating to take in the view, the restaurant is super close to the shore. The entire staff was friendly, smiling, and so attentive. My husband tried a Japanese beer and he loved it, I got the Pina colada slushy, which was pretty good. But the tacos were out of this world, the ossobuco did not disappoint, so tender, so flavorful, and I think most of their tacos have that fried cheese in them. I also ordered a fish taco which was really crisp and fresh, but my husband's fried shrimp taco was unexpected. The shrimp was wrapped taquito-style then fried before added to the taco and dressed, crazy. Carne asada was tender and so well marinated, i could have eaten a plate of just that. We also had the sharable quesadilla which I highly recommend, the asadero cheese was fried and caramelized before it was put into the tortilla, which was also lightly grilled, it was mouthwatering! Two tacos each, a sharable quesadilla, and two drinks was like 55 bucks. I will be back, can't wait to try the carnitas taco.
Vegetarian options: I was impressed by the veggie options throughout the menu, clearly labeled and appetizing. We had to quesadilla, so yummy!

This weekend got in with no wait. Great basa fried tacos. Didn’t love the salmon, a bit too strong for me. Nice views and staff
Great food. They didn't want to give us glasses of water because there was a plumbing problem, and then charged us for bottles of water - which is worse service than I've received in similar situations at other places.

I just don't like anything about that place and all the city tacos I don't recommend.

A food gem in the Imperial Beach! Super nice place to sit down close to the beach and have a glass of draft beer with some delicious craft tacos! Loved the decor and super chill vibe. Service is outstanding, and the view of the ocean from the second floor seating is amazing ??? Food tasted great as well! As a bonus it is kid and dog friendly!!

Loved the tacos and the flight of beer. Service was excessively slow. They ask for your card up front, who does that? It was like they know their service is so slow they don't want you to walk away.

Quiero Taco has moved into City Taco's location at Mike Hess Brewing. Although City Tacos and Quiero Tacos are of from the same family, the difference is that Quiero Tacos offers breakfast, as City Tacos does not. That being said, I ordered a pair of sunshine tacos with their eggs scrambled. The tacos came with delicious re-fried chorizo beans, pico de gallo, house-made red salsa, and garnished with a sliver of fresh avocado at $3.50 a piece. The tacos were delicious. I liked that the corn tortillas had that wet appearance from adding a touch of oil to the hot griddle. The eggs were very well scrambled and seasoned, but what really shined were the beans. They were outstanding. The pico was fresh and tasty, and the house red salsa was very tasty and provided a medium heat. I a little more or larger slice of avocado would be nice.Sophia and Frida were both very nice. Sophia was super welcoming and helpful, and Frida was full of smiles. I love happy service and great food.
