Perfect location for easy beverage pick up before you hit the beach. Staff is very friendly and easy going. Haven't tried any food items since it's specifically designed to be a coffee hub. Easy to pick up from the window or from the inside. Lovely building design makes them really stand out. Super convenient forms of payment. Enjoyed my Cappuccino while the doggies got their special treat.

Good cappuccino. The milk texture was good and foamy but the base espresso tasted just a little burnt. Not enough to be bad though. The barista was very friendly.

Excellent tacos! Great beer! We tried the Macho Nachos, street corn, fish n chips and Mike Hess fish, Birria, shrimp and surf & turf tacos! Soooo good! Relaxed atmosphere and phenomenal wait staff. Vacationing from southern Arizona. Thank you ❤️

This was recommended by our hotel and it didnt disappoint. The tacos and beer were excellent. Fish tacos were the way to go and the beer was equally good. Surprisingly, they also served coffee drinks. Churros were good as well. Service was a little slower but it looked like it was at the peak of lunch hour.

Such a great addition to Seacoast Drive! I have been coming to Mike Hess since they opened but hadn't tried their coffee. I was NOT surprised to find out that it's the best coffee in Imperial Beach. It's the perfect coffee to walk to and they get your order out quickly. Loving the cute logo too! Thanks Mike Hess for crushing it yet again

It's a hit of miss with consistency in service or the quality. I often come over and happy to pay for a strong and sweet coffee. But depending on who's the barista. I always ask how many shots in my drink 20oz as I am wanting more espresso and less milk.For the past 3 weeks it's been this constant that maybe writing this tells me what I need to know maybe it's just not worth it. Today I asked for the 20oz viennese latte warm regular milk at the end of my drink the employee says no none of our drinks have more than 2 shots only the Americano. It felt like the weird size done at Starbucks.

Food was horrible, It could be a nice place to sit outside after you are drunk and you do not mind the food but it was really bad. I could have gone to Taco Bell for a better experience.

Great - The service was amazing. Here is where the food jumps around. I found the fish & chips gross, while my wife found the fish tacos the best she ever had. So there you go. This place gets slammed so go early.

Delicious espresso; tastier than Trident ... ?Wheelchair accessibility: The place is more like a robust kiosk and has a service window that opens onto the sidewalk, almost like a drive-thru for pedestrians.
Great fish tacos and craft beer. Highly recommend stopping there for a bite. Great kid place. Super fun staff. All of the food looked great and quite reasonable prices.

I stayed at Pier South hotel next door and was really glad to have this coffee kiosk right next door. I came here every morning and really enjoyed both the mexican mocha and regular mocha. You don't need access to the patio area. They have a window right off the street where they take your order.

Trying themselves at a new restaurant category ("urban beach mexican beer garden"), they created a good, big and fun place. Plenty of brews to try, mexican food, fast service (brazilian style, with a sign if you need a waiter to attend you) makes this place a good family stop.

Located inside the Mike Hess Biergarden this small coffee installation sells various hot and iced espresso-based drinks.- The coffee profile at IB Espresso is strictly "bright" with heavy acidic notes.- IB has no other coffee options with the exception of a cupcake shop and a shave-ice store. IB locals prefer drinking "bum" wine in the morning over coffee I guess. - While IB espresso is open to everyone, it's in a guarded patio area. You'll have to get past the hostess if you want to get a coffee drink here.
