I love the small town atmosphere of Katy's. I go there every morning to sip a delicious coffee and share the latest about the community and neighborhood. The baristas are all so charming and entertaining! Don't forget to bring your dog for a pup cup. This little cafe is a gem!

I'm at Katy's every morning at 6:00 a.m. couldn't think of a better place to go in Imperial beach. Do you want to know where the locals go to have a great cup of coffee? Katy's cafe is the place.

Ordered a Cafe Club with ham and a Croissant Beginnings, along side a smoothie - I’d return for more!!
Spent just under $40 and headed to the beachfront for an easy start to my day.

Katy’s Café has officially become one of my favorite breakfast spots in all of San Diego, and that says a lot. I moved here in 2022, and this is easily one of the best breakfasts I’ve had since arriving. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can see them preparing your food right in front of you, which gives you total confidence in what you’re eating. Nothing hidden, nothing crazy, just honest, delicious food made with care.
The breakfast menu is loaded with options. There are so many different breakfast sandwiches and hearty plates to choose from, and everything is made with quality ingredients. On top of that, they have an impressive selection of morning drinks, both hot and cold. Coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies... whatever mood you’re in, they’ve got something great for it.
The vibe here is warm, relaxed, and welcoming. You can tell the team truly cares about what they do and takes pride in serving great food. Every visit feels just as good as the last, and the consistency is something I really appreciate.
If you’re in Imperial Beach and looking for a fresh, delicious, and satisfying breakfast made by people who genuinely care about their craft, Katy’s Café is absolutely worth a visit. I highly recommend it.

My food rating is actually for their drinks. Ive never had their food, but would like to try the next time I go.
The coffee is really good and my favorite drink is the Mermaid Special. Since I tried it, it is the only thing drink I order. Don't need to try anything else 😃

Attempting to be laid back, but place was dirty almost every table had dirt on them. No one cleaned the lobby while there. Flys as a result. Food was only ok. Expensive for what u get.

Katy’s Café in imperial Beach is when a few places open on a Sunday. This is a place where you can get smoothies, coffees, snacks, and just about anything else you want to drink. The place is always hopping and busy I a good way.
There are three tables against the south wall near the graphic where you can meet with people. In the middle, there are two additional larger tables where some people hang out. And then along the northern wall, there are lounge chair high tops where we can either sit or wait for your order.
The local painting art is fun as well. There are a couple pieces on the flower cooler that are nice. But the ones near the door, showing scenes of surfing, are my favorite. The artist is listed as Lynn. I’ve never met Lynn, but I definitely like Lynn‘s work.
Katy’s Cafe does offer a Wi-Fi, though I don’t see a lot of people parking here and doing the laptop lifestyle. I’m sure some people do, maybe they hook up with their phone. The location is dog friendly as well. It has a total Imperial Beach vibe.
The graphics and painting on the wall makes us place super vibrant. I love the style of the painting That they have. In the morning, parking is usually pretty easy. In the afternoon, parking would be a little bit more challenging.
The staff is always super friendly and accommodating. It doesn’t take too long to get whatever you order. I have tried the Norwegian, lox bagel, the Café Club sandwich, and the Banana Slamma smoothies. I’ve always enjoyed everything here. Not being much of a coffee drinker, I always revert to the chai latte. But today I ordered the Banana Slamma. Total winner.
This is an excellent place to snag some food. In the back, there are some chairs there are always constantly busy. It’s a great place to hang out before heading back to the beach.

Miss this place, need to come back soon 💓
Katy’s is a local spot! My elderly father walks here almost daily and I tag along sometimes. The staff here is the best in town— so friendly, kind and helpful! My personal favorite is the chipotle bueno.
It help that is also mere steps to an ocean view. What’s not to like really
